The surface wettability study of solid material is an important aspect of surface chemistry. In the past ten years, superhydrophobic surface owns novel structures and powerful features, which is of great significance in basic scientific research. In addition, superhydrophobic material has received much attention in practical applications includinganti-corrosionandself-cleaningproperties.Forexample,the superhydrophobic surface of the reed leaf has important applications in the fields of anti-icing and self-cleaning.Typical methods for preparing superhydrophobic materials include self-assembly,ion etching,electrodeposition,electrospinning,sol-gel,layer assembly, laser processing, and chemical etching methods. To date, there is still a lack of a simple method of preparing superhydrophobic materials for the structure of reed leaves.Polydimethylsiloxane?PDMS?is an elastomeric polymer that is typically formed by thermally polymerizing a polydimethylsiloxane matrix and a corresponding curing agent in a ratio. As a superhydrophobic material for preparing reed leaf structure, polydimethylsiloxane exhibits an exceptionally desirable material property:low cost, good durability, and high flexibility. It is widely used in industry and research.Inthiswork, wepreparedasuperhydrophobicsurfacewitha polydimethylsiloxane-based reed leaf structure by laser ablation. After the laser ablation treatment of the PDMS with micro-grating structure, the high-energy laser can ablate the secondary micro-nano structure, improve the surface roughness, and prove superhydrophobic. And in parallel direction, the roll angle measured in the vertical direction is relatively small compared to the contact angle measured above. This method provides a new idea for preparation of superhydrophobic surfaces via laser processing. The main work is as follows:?1?We summarized some recent advances in the superhydrophobic surface of organic polymers, including their theory, design, fabrication and application.First,we introduced the superhydrophobic phenomenon in nature and its related research. After that,we explained the development of its basic theory. Finally,we summarized several common methods for fabricating superhydrophobic surfaces.?2?In this work,we firstly fabricated polydimethylsiloxane based micro-structure via soft lithography.Next, the surface of the polydimethylsiloxane microstructure is treated with a CO2 laser. Finally, the micro-nano structure of the reed leaves was prepared to achieve superhydrophobic function and further prove the wettability anisotropy. This method is simple, convenient and in low cost,,which is expected to be a common method for preparing superhydrophobic surfaces.
