In this paper,the acoustical properties of graphene composite rubber were studied.Firstly,the acoustical properties of single layer graphene were studied.In order to study the application value of graphene in the field of underwater acoustics,the idea of using graphene in rubber preparation was came up with.Then at microscopic scale,the acoustical properties of graphene composite rubber were calculated by using finite element method,and the discipline of the acoustical properties of graphene rubber composite influenced by graphene were studied.Furthermore,the influence of applicating the graphene composite rubber in the periodic structure on the acoustic properties of the periodic structure at macro scale were studied.Finally,an experiment to observe the sound absorption coefficient of the graphene composite rubber which containing different mass fraction of graphene were carried out,and the influence rule of graphene on the acoustic properties of composite rubber was found.The basic principle of graphene affecting the acoustic properties of composite rubber was described.The main contents of this paper include the following aspects:1.Based on the transfer matrix,the acoustic properties of graphene films are studied,and the acoustic properties of periodic structures of graphene-containing layers are further studied.It is found that the periodic structures of graphene films and graphene-based layers can only reflect the terahertz-level acoustic waves obviously,but their effects on acoustic waves in underwater acoustic field are not obvious.2.At microscopic scale,the acoustical properties of graphene composite rubber were calculated by using finite element method.By changing the mass fraction and distribution of graphene in composite rubber,the influence of mass fraction and distribution of graphene on the acoustic properties of composite rubber was studied.The simulation results show that with the increase of graphene content in rubber,the sound absorption coefficient of composite rubber increases first and then tends to be stable.On the premise of the same graphene content,too large or too small inclination angle of graphene microchip will also reduce the sound absorption performance of composite rubber.Altogether,The simulation results show that adding graphene to rubber can improve the sound absorption performance of composite rubber.3.According to the results of the simulation of graphene rubber at microscopic scale,and the related references,it is reasonably concluded that the sound speed and loss factor of rubber increase with the addition of graphene at macro-scale,and four kinds of composite rubber with different sound speeds and loss factors are set up.In this paper,the idea of combining different composite rubber into periodic structure is put forward.The influence of the arrangement and thickness of composite rubber on the acoustic performance of periodic structure is studied.The combination form of low reflection coefficient is found,which proves the feasibility of the application of graphene composite rubber in underwater target coating.Finally,the acoustic properties of the impedance gradient medium consisting of graphene composite rubber are studied.It is found that when the impedance is convex curve distributionand and the sound frequency is greater than 20 kHz,the sound absorption coefficient can be stabilized at a higher position,which has certain advantages over the periodic structure and the uniform single layer structure.4.Several kinds of rubber with different graphene content were prepared,not only their Young's modulus and density were measured,but also their acoustic characteristics were measured in pulse sound tube.based on the result,the influence of graphene on their acoustic characteristics was studied.We found that the density of rubber was basically keep stability,the sound velocity was gradually increased,and the sound absorption performance was greatly increased after adding graphene to rubber.With the increase of graphene content,the sound absorption properties of rubber increased first and then decreased slowly.This is basically consistent with the simulation results of the micro-model,which further proves that graphene can improve the sound absorption performance of composite rubber.
