The Shisan-Shiba Daogou area lies in the west part of Changbai County,Jilin Province.It is located in the southern margin of the Huishan-Liyuan Depression,Jiao-Liao-Ji Paleoproterozoic Active Belt.It is an important gold metallogenic belt in the southern Jilin Province.The North Korea located in the other side of Yalu river hosts aboundant mineral resources.There are seven large gold deposits and hundreds of gold deposits.Two areas have the same tectonic setting and have undergone the evolution from Archean,Paleoproterozoic,Meso-Neoproterozoic,Paleozoic to Mesozoic-Cenozoic periods,accompanied by various mineralization and abundant mineral respurces.One medium deposit and nine small deposits,have been found in this area.However,only four gold mineral spots and several gold mineralizationclues were found.No large and medium-sized gold deposits have been discovered.In the past decades,some geolocical work has been carried out.However,the researches on the metallogenic theory in the Changbai is relatively weaker than those in the North Korean.Because of the large-scale basalt coverage.What is more,predecessors paid much attention to shallow surface mineralization information,while neglecting the deep weak mineralization information.Secondly,predecessorsisolately viewed the Au-Sb in the Shiqidaogou area and the Au-Pb-Znmineralization information in the southern part of Shiba daogou area in isolation.They argued that the Au-Sb mineralization information was related to the NE-trending structure,while the Au-Pb-Zn mineralization was related to diorite.For these reasons above,we not only investigate the metallogenic process of representative deposits(points)but also study the tectonic setting,the geophyisial and geochemistrical information.The Badaogou to Changbai Faults can plays as the boundary between the NangrimBlock and the Jiao-liao-Ji Paleoproterozoic Belt.It is also the most important polymetallic belt controlling the Shisan to Shiba dapgou gold deposit.The Au provenanceis the siliceous dolomite marble of the Laoling Formation and dolomite marble of the Dalisi Formation.The mineralization type of the gold deposit was the alteration-rock type.It was controlled by fracture and the metallogenic fluids mainly origining from formation water and meteoric water as well as possible addition of magmatic hydrothermal solutions.The effective exploration methods were proposed in this area,.Firstly,the surface soil survey and surface magnetic survey can delineate the anomalous metal elements and the strong magnetic field.Secondly,the induced polarization method were carried out to locate themineral-related faultswhich provides favorable information for gold ore prediction.Overall,the geophyisal and geochemistrical results show the prospecting prospects in Shisan to Shiba Daogo are perspective.The orebody is controlled by NW-SEtrending faults.
