The Eerguna area,northeastern Inner Mongolia autonomous Autonomous Region is tectonically located in the Xing'an geosynclinal fold system and the Sanhe synclinore,the third-ordinary tectonic unit in the Variscan Xiguituqi folded system.The area is also situated within the Yanshanian Cu(Mo),Au,Ag,Pb and Zn metallogenic belt of the Erguna River(Debugan),one segment of the Gejinaqi-Xin'an second-ordinary metallogenic province comprising Perozoic,Varisian and Yanshanian Cu,Pb,Zn,Au,Ag,Cr and Nb deposits.The Shangkuli area had experienced intensice Mesozoic magmatism which is thought to have provided the ore-forming hydrothermal solutions and accounted for a number of the regional mineralization of Cu,Pb,Zn,Mo,Ag and Au.Based on previous survey of regional mineral resources at scale 1:50000,a comprehensive sampling and geochemical analysis of different episodic volcanic suites was carried out,and the volcanic cycles and structures of the region were identified.It is suggested that the Mesozoic magmatism of the region comprised four volcanic cycles which dominated by the late Jurassic volcanism,and the suites are part of the Greater Higgnan Mountains' volcanic belt and featured by calc-alkaline series of continental margin.Early Paleozoic,Mesozoic and Cenozoic strata are exposed.The intrusion rocks from late silurian to early Jurassic are widely distributed.In this paper,the characteristics of gravity field,aeromagnetic field and high magnetic field in the study area,the abundance and concentration characteristics of elements in rocks,the abundance and differentiation characteristics of elements in soil,the distribution of geochemical field and the main comprehensive abnormal characteristics are described in detailThis paper mainly studies the Metallogenic conditions of polymetallic magmatic activity,characteristics of Erguna,Inner Mongolia,to ascertain the types of minerals in the study area,summarize the metallogenic laws,establish regional metallogenic model and determine prospecting criteria.Based on the metallogenic model,combined with ore-prospecting criteria and corresponding ore-prospecting methods,a ore-prospecting model was established to predict the minerals in the study area.The ore deposits prominently comprise magmatic hydrothermal and subvolcanic types.Geology,geophysics and geochemistry-based prospect models for the eastern Sanjiduigou Au-Mo mineral occurrence and the Quanshanzi Pb-Zn mineral occurrence were established.These two terrains are selected as the most potential targets for further prospecting with grade A of Pb-Zn and Au-Mo ore deposits,respectively.This work provides a new theoretical basis for the future prospecting exploration in this area and neighbouring regions.
