| Soil is classified on the basis of soil science research, and its development level usually marks the development level of soil science.Land quality is a comprehensive attribute of land, which can reflect the impact of natural factors and human activities on land.In order to study the systematic classification of soils in Xinjiang and to study the quality characteristics of typical soil series in Xinjiang, based on the investigation of soil series in Xinjiang,47 typical soil sections were selected as the research objects.Through the analysis of the profile morphological characteristics, mechanical composition and chemical properties of tested soils, the diagnostic layers and diagnostic characteristics were retrieved according to the classification of soil system in China, and then the diagnostic layers and diagnostic characteristics were established.Typical soils in Xinjiang have been classified from Soil Class to Soil Series. Then, the quality characteristics of typical soil series in Xinjiang were studied and classified according to the diagnostic faults and diagnostic characteristics in soil taxonomy. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)47 tested soils were classified as artificial soil, arid soil, saline soil, latent soil, humic soil, rudimentary soil, new soil,7 soil classes,12 subclasses,22 soil classes,32 subclasses,43 Tu ethnic groupsin and 47 soil series in Chinese soil taxonomy.Compared with the results of soil genetics classification and Xinjiang soil taxonomy, the quantitative classification index of Chinese soil taxonomy can better reflect the differences of soil properties.(2)According to soil properties and soil elasticity, the quality of typical soil series in Xinjiang can be divided into 9 grades and 16 stress conditions. In the typical soil series investigated in Xinjiang, all the artificial soil series belong to the stress grade 2,and the land quality grade is II.All the homogeneous soil series and three prototype soil series,Altay,Bulzin and Incar, belong to the stress grade 6,and the land quality grade III.The two levels of land are mainly oasis arable land in Xinjiang, and the soil moisture of farmland mainly depends on melting water of alpine ice and snow and mountains. The recharge of precipitation in the region is more reliable, the limited factors of cultivated land are less, the quality of cultivated land is good and the productive potential is great. All the latent soil systems belong to the stress grade 8,the land quality grade IV,the three prototype soil systems, the Beizha system, the Dongdi system and the Shawan system, belong to the stress grade 9,the land quality grade V,the seven prototype soil systems are Zhaobishan system,Kubuxi system,Nuerqia system and Yimin 11.Lianyuan,Qiheji,Yuqunweng and Kizil systems belong to stress grade 10 and land quality grade V,which are easy to degrade. The land is mainly used for pasture land and should not be used for cultivated land without a good protection plan. All new soil series belong to stress grade 11,land quality grade VI,and all saline soil series belong to threat.Force grade 12,land quality grade VII,the two levels of land texture is higher than sand or salt content, not suitable for cultivated land, they should be retained in the natural state, and biodiversity management is essential in these areas;Gulong ditch system is embryonic soil, belonging to stress grade 15,land quality grade VIII,all dry soil systems belong to stress grade 16,land quality and so on.Grade IX,which is mainly located in the fragile ecosystems such as desert and alpine areas, should be maintained in the natural state because of the low soil temperature or drought. |
