Construction And Application Of Water Flow Model For Map Annotation

With the rapid development of spatial information technology,spatial information has served all aspects of human activities,promoting the development and progress of society,and maps are an important tool for transmitting spatial information.Map annotation is part of the map language,and map information The transmission plays a very important role.The quality of the annotation directly affects the quality of the map.The annotation configuration is an important task in the mapping process.The traditional annotation configuration method usually takes the perspective of a single element.The mapping of map annotations lacks a measure of the overall annotation of the map and the distribution of features and a quantitative calculation of the mapping of map annotations.Based on the above background,in order to make up for the shortcomings of the traditional annotation configuration method,it is possible to digitize the description annotation and the distribution characteristics of the features in the map,so that the configuration of the map annotation has a quantitative basis.Based on the related knowledge and theoretical research of configuration,the concept of water flow model for map annotation is put forward.The construction method and application scope of the model are studied.It is proposed that the water flow model for map annotation is the dominant and the annotation configuration rules are used as constraints.Map annotation configuration method.The research content of this paper mainly includes the following aspects:(1)Analyzed the relevant knowledge of map annotation,analyzed and summarized the map annotation from the perspectives of classification,elements and functions,summarized the relevant principles of map annotation configuration,and analyzed the numbers on this basis.The concept of the elevation model and its establishment method and application field,the idea of the digital elevation model is applied to the description of the map annotation,and finally the concept of the water flow model for map annotation is proposed.(2)Abstract the annotation process as the flowing water in the map,abstract the level of the layer in the map into the hierarchical relationship of the water flow,abstract the range of the map annotation configuration into the flow range of the water flow,and mark the specific position of the map.The abstraction is the flow direction and specific position of the water flow,and the construction method and rules of the water flow model for map annotation are determined by the distribution of the water flow and the characteristics of the flow process.(3)The application of water flow model for map annotation in map annotation configuration is studied.The annotation configuration method based on the construction idea of water flow model for map annotation is proposed,and the point feature,line element and polygon feature are established.Annotate the configuration rules,propose the annotation configuration constraint rules to constrain the map annotation quality,and develop a complete set of map annotation configuration process.(4)Carry out the annotation experiment with the basic geographic data of Nanjing,Jiangsu Province,and use the annotation configuration method and the traditional annotation configuration method proposed in this paper to configure the map annotation,compare and analyze the annotation results,and map the annotations.Check the water flow model for verification.
