As one of the main mountain ranges in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Nyainqentanglha Mountain Range is one of the most powerful glacier centers in the development of modern glaciers in the middle and low latitudes.Studying the spatial and temporal distribution of glaciers and climate in the Nyainqentanglha Mountains and exploring the relationship between the two have important effects on social development, resource management, and disaster prevention. This paper collected LandsatTM,ETM+ and GF-1 images, and extracted the glacial boundaries of the Nyainqentanglha Mountains in 1980,1990,2000,2010 and 2016,and analyzed the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of glaciers in adjacent time periods.Based on the data of 37 meteorological stations near the study area, the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of temperature and precipitation were obtained. The relationship between glacial change and climate change response in the Nyainqentanglha Mountains was analyzed. The results are as follows:(1)Explain the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of glaciers in the study areaGlaciers in the 1980s,1990s,2000s,2010s and 2016 were interpreted in conjunction with a combination of ratio thresholds and human interpretation.Using the annual average rate of change indicator to obtain the rate of change of glaciers in the first stage, the study shows that the area and reserves of glaciers in the Nyainqentanglha Mountains in 1980-2016 are decreasing, and the trend is“slow-fast-faster”,which changes in 2000-2010.The fastest, followed by 2010-2016,the slowest period of change was 1980-1990.(2)Analysis of the temporal and spatial variation of meteorological data in the study areaThrough the trend analysis and mutation test of the time series of meteorological data near the study area,it is found that the temperature fluctuates upward and the amplitude gradually becomes faster;the precipitation shows a slow increase. The space-based cross-validation method combined with the spatial model of the topographical features is compared with the traditional IDW,Kriging and Cokriging methods to obtain the most accurate results of the combined topographical elements. The superposition analysis of the interpolation results shows that the temperature in the central and northwestern regions of the study area has increased significantly over the past 36 years, and the increase in the southeast is not obvious and the local appearance is reduced. The increase in precipitation is concentrated in the central and southeastern parts of the study area.(3)Reveal the relationship between glacial changes and climate change in the Nyainqentanglha MountainsThe glaciers in the study area retreat with the increase of temperature and accumulate with the increase of precipitation.Through the regression analysis of the three,it is concluded that the impact of temperature changes on glacial changes is almost four times that of precipitation. In the 36 years of the Nyainqentanglha Mountains The rate of temperature increase is faster than the annual precipitation. The slight increase of precipitation has a certain slowing effect on the shrinkage of the glacier area, but it can not offset the glacial retreat caused by the temperature rise.
