Natural uranium products are the basic raw materials for nuclear power plants and important strategic materials for the country.As far as nuclear power is concerned,the demand for natural uranium will gradually increase with the continuous expansion of the number and scale of nuclear power plants.Domestic resources are difficult to meet demand,foreign dependence is rapidly increasing,and import sources are relatively concentrated,with certain risks.We must base ourselves on our country and strengthen uranium exploration.China's uranium resources have great potential,with a prospective reserve of about 2 million tons.We should strengthen the study of uranium mineralization theories and laws and master the world's advanced exploration theories,techniques and methods as soon as possible in order to quickly find out new uranium resources.Ordos Basin is a large Mesozoic inland sedimentary basin in North China Plate.The strata are well developed,and it is also one of the areas in the world where the Mesozoic continental strata are well developed.The continental strata are rich in coal,oil,natural gas,uranium and other sedimentary minerals.The Ordos basin has a " double base" and the direct and indirect bases provide rich uranium sources for the formation of uranium deposits.The structure in the area is relatively well developed and has a perfect " diameter supplement a nd drainage" system,which provides the necessary conditions for the formation of uranium deposits.In the past mineral exploration,a large number of radioactive anomalies were found in the sandstone of the lower member of the Middle Jurassic Zhiluo Forma tion.Sandstone-type uranium deposits are one of the types of uranium deposits of industrial significance in China and are currently the main exploration types in the nuclear industry.A series of sandstone-type uranium deposits such as Zaohuohao,Daying and Naringgou have been discovered in the north and east of the basin.Based on the comparative study of metallogenic characteristics of typical uranium deposits in Zaohuohao,Naringgou and Daying uranium deposits in the northern Ordos Basin,the stratigraphic characteristics,hydrogeological characteristics and the development characteristics of ancient interlayer oxidation zones of each deposit are studied respectively.The top plate elevation,bottom plate elevation,top plate burial depth,bottom plate burial depth,thickness,grade and amount of uranium per square meter of ore characteristics;The ore composition,cementation degree and uranium existing form of ore body characteristics are analyzed statistically and compared.Summing up the similarities and differences of metallogenic characteristics of various uranium deposits,studying in depth the metallogenic environment and main controlling factors of uranium deposits in the area,summarizing the metallogenic regularity in the area and establishing a " trinity" prospecting prediction model in the area are of great guiding significance for expanding the scale of uranium deposits in Ordos basin and discovering new mineral lands.Combined with metallogenic geological conditions,ore-controlling factors and ore-forming laws,the " trinity" ore-prospecting prediction model is used to delineate Bayinwusu ore-prospecting target area,Bohaihai ore-prospecting target area and Yangjiabala ore-prospecting target area.
