Realistic simulation of natural scenes has always been a popular and difficult topic in computer graphics.Among them,the simulation technology of disaster scene has important application value in disaster reduction and prevention,film and Motion Pictures&Television and other fields.Because landslide disaster phenomenon harms to the road traffic and people's lives and property in the slope area,the governments of various countries pay more and more attention to it and take measures to prevent it.But so far in computer graphics,there is no research work on dynamic modeling and rendering of this disaster phenomenon.In order to overcome this defect,our thesis proposes a Material Point Method(MPM)based on the characteristics of landslides to simulate the dynamic process of landslide disaster phenomena..Since MPM is Suitable for the simulation of continuous elastoplastic rmaterials,in order to simulate the continuous soil particle flow in the landslide phenomenon,we introduced the material point method(MPM)as the discretization method in the simulation framework.For realistic simulation of soil dynamic,we introduce the modified Cambridge model that is popular in soil mechanics.Through projecting deformation gradient to yield surface,our thesis realizes the separation of plastic parts and elastic parts and simplifies the soften and harden parameters calculation of the modified Cambridge model,which can more realistically simulate the evolution of landslides in soil dynamic.In order to simulate the interaction between soil and rock materials in landslides,a Level set based two-way fluid-solid coupling method is introduced.And we use signed distance field(SDFs)as the rigid body storage structure using CUD A,which improves the efficiency of collision detection and thus accelerates the simulation of large-scale and complex dynamic scenes of landslides.On this basis,we implement a simulation system of landslide disaster scene,which can more realistically simulate the dynamic process of rock rolling,earth flow and rock flow when the landslide occurs.Our experimental results and efficiency analysis demonstrate the effectiveness and application potential of this method.
