Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of the global economy, the use of heavy metals is increasing. As a result, heavy metals are easier to enter the environment. In general, the pollution situation of heavy metals is not optimistic. The incidents of heavy metal pollution occur frequently. In recent years, the pollution status in the Chinese Bohai sea,one of the developed regions in China,is more serious. There are also many studies have been carried on the environmental pollution in Bohai sea. Therefore,it is of great concern to investigate the heavy metal pollution in biological samples collected from the Chinese Bohai sea. This dissertation established the analytical method for determination of heavy metals in biological samples with the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS),and studied the accumulation of heavy metals in mollusks and the food chain in Chinese Bohai sea.Based on the content of heavy metals in mollusks samples, the correlations among the heavy metals, and the mollusks as bioindicator to evaluate the heavy metal pollution in the Chinese Bohai sea were discussed. The samples were dealt with microwave digestion device.By optimizing the pretreatment process, the recovery of each heavy metal and the precision of the method were improved, and 12 elements(including Zn,Cr,Mn,Co,Ni,Cu,As,Se,Sr,Mo,Cd and Pb)in mollusks and 10 elements(including Cr,Mn,Co,Ni,Cu,As,Se,Mo,Cd and Pb)in food chain samples could be simultaneously determined with satisfied recoveries.Four certified reference materials(CRMs),including DORM-4(fsh protein),GBW 10024(scallops)and TORT-3(lobster hepatopancreas marine),were used to evaluate the accuracy of the proposed method. The determined values were in good agreement with the certified values of the four CRMs.The method has the advantages of high sensitivity, good accuracy, simple and reliable. The contamination of heavy metals in the gastropods and bivalves and the food chain samples from the Chinese Bohai sea was studied in detail. The results prove that all the collected mollusks were contaminated with heavy metal to some extent. And the status of pollution was related with mollusks.Heavy metal pollution in 2006-2016 year is significantly higher than those in 2002-2003 year. The content of each element in the foodchain samples from the Chinese Bohai sea was statistically analyzed. It found that, for biological samples collected at the same time period, the contents of Cu,As,Se and Cd in animal samples were higher than those in plant samples, but the contents of Cr,Mn,Co,Ni,Mo and Pb in plant samples were higher than those in animal samples.
