Rock mass consists of rock blocks and structural planes. The structural plane mainly controls the stability of the slope, dam abutment and surrounding rock of underground engineering.Rock mass is not destroyed by the failure of its own material, but it is destroyed along the weak structural plane inside the rock mass. Therefore, the stability of rock masses is determined by these controlled structural planes to a certain extent. The mechanical properties of rock mass discontinuities are characterized by size effect, anisotropy and heterogeneity, which lead to uncertainty in the stability evaluation of rock mass.Based on this,a method for describing the uncertainty of rock mass mechanical properties is presentedTaking the Zhejiang Changshan slate structure surface as an example,19636 profiles are obtained by using a simple profile profiler.Based on the simplified straight edge method, the roughness coefficient(JRC)of the structure surface is calculated.By the polar coordinate map and the anisotropic coefficient evaluation index, the variation law of the fluctuation amplitude and roughness coefficient is comprehensively analyzed. Then, the data of the size effects are established by fitting the statistical chart, and the size effect rule of the fluctuation amplitude and roughness coefficient is quantitatively described. The neutrosophic function is a method of describing the uncertainty of things by means of quantitative intervals. In describing the JRC size effect of uncertainty,we use JRC mean plus one standard deviation as neutrosophic function limit to mean JRC minus one standard deviation as the lower limit in neutrosophic function,in order to get the interval as described in the wisdom interval function JRC size effect of uncertainty. The JRC wise interval function of anisotropic uncertainty is similar to the size effect.Based on the size effect and the neutrosophic function of the different derivatives,we derive the tangential and normal derivatives of the neutrosophic function in JRC,and obtain the rate of change of JRC at the series scale and in different measurement directionsThe shear strength is an important parameter to describe the stability of rock mass.In this paper, the interval function of JRC is brought into the Barton model of JRC-JCS,and the interval function of the shear strength is obtained. In order to verify the applicability of the, this paper based on the expression of the shear strength neutrosophic function, through the limit equilibrium method to simulate the stability of rock slope and the stability coefficient of slope. The purpose of this paper is to provide a method to describe the uncertainty of roughness, shear strength and slope stability coefficient caused by the complex characteristics of structural planes. As a new method of fuzzy computation, the neutrosophic function is highly applicable to the rock structure plane.
