Plasma medicine is a new discipline that studies the effects of plasma on living organisms.Plasma medical research has made great progress in promoting wound healing,anti-fungal infection, and inducing cancer cell apoptosis, yet it has also encountered Great technical setbacks. The mainly problem is that the target cells we want to treat such as bacteria, fungi, and cancer cells are often located deeply into the subcutaneous tissue, but the research on the permeability of plasma in academia is still in its infancy and severely limits the clinical application of plasma. Therefore, how deep the plasma can penetrate in the skin or tissue and how to enhance its penetrability becomes one of the leading issues to be solved urgently. This article relies on the National Natural Science Foundation of China's project "Study on the Mechanism of Atmospheric Non-Equilibrium Plasma and Skin Tissue Interactions." Set the plasma permeability to experimental mice as the breakthrough point to further study the permeability of plasma to organisms.Comparison of permeability of rat skin with gas plasma-active particles and liquid-phase plasma-active particles was analysed.A series conclusion on the clinical medical application of plasma were obtained.Main works and conclusions in this article were listed below:(1)A three-needle array air plasma device was developed.Parameters of the plasma generated by the device were fully measured.Established a special diffusion pool which is needed for the experiment.(2)Using the air plasma source treat the skin of the experimental mice directly, and by measuring the concentration of active particles in the deionized water in the pool below the skin, the permeability of the gas plasma active particles to the skin of the experimental mice was examined. The conclusion is that active particles in air plasma cannot penetrate through the mouse skin tissue.(3)Deionized water was treated with air plasma to obtain Plasma Activated Water.pH of the activated water and srveral active particals vary with the device processing time were measured. The permeability of the liquid plasma active particles to the skin of the mouse was examined. We found thar the active particles in the activated water can penetrate through the mouse skin tissue. The main transdermal pathway is cell gap infiltration and direct permeation through cells. The pH of activated water has no effect on the active particle's penetration efficiency.
