The main structure of large marine engineering equipment,such as offshore platform,is in a bad marine environment for a long time.Under the joint action of many physical and chemical factors,the steel structure is faced with severe corrosion damage risk.To ensure the security of the offshore platform during their service,anti-corrosion protection should be taken.Normally,cathodic protection for the underwater part of the steel structure is acquired by sacrificial anodes and impressed current.Considering the characteristics of permanent,large-scaling and long service life of offshore platforms,the impressed current cathodic protection(ICCP),in contrast to the sacrificial anode cathodic protection,has more advantages in terms of both technology and economy.However,due to many factors such as bad working environment,high technological requirements and difficult technology,the ICCP method is used only for the cathodic protection of ships,and is rarely used in marine engineering fields,such as offshore platforms.Therefore,the research on the ICCP for the offshore platfoms will be great significant in practical engineering.Based on the principle of ICCP and the numerical simulation technology of cathodic protection,this paper provides an accurate ICCP scheme for the total life cycle of the jacket platform.Based on practical engineering application,the ICCP system for the jacket platform with high reliability is developed.The reliability and validity of the ICCP system for jacket platforms under different working conditions are verified through the application and testing in the real sea.Firstly,this paper introduces the accurate design method of the total life cycle of the ICCP system based on the numerical simulation technology,and puts forward the design of the ICCP system using the numerical simulation technology to assist the actual engineering project,and puts forward the ICCP scheme for jacket platforms is proposed.Meanwhile,this article takes the actual jacket platform as the research object.According to the design scheme,anticorrosion specifications and jacket structure characteristics,the ICCP system with fixed auxiliary anode,which includes the auxiliary anode,reference electrode,multi-channel controller and monitoring & control software,is designed,and the actual industrial products are developed.And the tests of the indicators and performance of the products are being carried out.Finally,the system was installed,debugged,and put into operation in the sea.After long term monitored,the reliability and cathodic protection effect of the system were verified.
