The riverside zone in the Inner Mongolia grassland plays an important role in the Inner Mongolia area.The riverside zone is an ecological transition zone between the river water and the adjacent land.The wetland plants and their communities in the riverside zone also play an important role in maintaining their stability and function.The response of wetland plants in the Xilin River riparian zone to the environment and the specific response on different grazing gradients are discussed from the perspective of plant traits.By investigating the 21 plant traits such as leaf thickness?LT?,leaf dry weight?LW?,and leaf area?LA?of the wetland herbs in the study area,the traits and relatedness of the wetland plants and the wetland plants in different spaces were explored.Gradient adaptation to the environment and complementation and substitution between traits.Secondly,this paper discussed the response of wetland plant traits and plant functional groups to different grazing gradients.The results show that:?1?Distribution of plant traits in the undegraded areas of the wetland of the Xilin River Basin:The values of properties and attributes of wetland plants in Xilin River Basin vary greatly.It reflects the adaptation difference of different wetland plants to environment.The mean leaf thickness is 0.19±0.006mm,the mean leaf dry weight is0.05±0.003g,the mean of leaf area is 7.42±0.39mm2,the mean value of specific leaf area is 207.57±10.32mm2·mg-1.The mean value of specific leaf is 0.007±0.0003mg·mm-2,and the mean value of the root length is 74.14±6.86cm·g-1.The plant height average value is 29.73±1.39cm,and the photosynthetic rate of plant is all The value is-249.11±25.56mol/m2·s.The ratio of carbon and nitrogen content to nitrogen and nitrogen ratio,the ratio of plant carbon and nitrogen content to plant nitrogen and phosphorus content are 18.29±0.26,6.53±0.13,25.73±0.50 and 6.08±0.14,respectively.?2?The plant characteristics of the wetland in the Xilin River basin can be adapted to the environment by complementation and substitution and the balance change in function.The structural and physiological characters of different organs also have this certain correlation,so as to adapt to the change of the environment.There was a positive correlation between leaf thickness?LT?and leaf dry weight?LW?and photosynthetic rate?Ph?.The specific leaf weight?LMA?was positively correlated with the leaf carbon and nitrogen content?LC/LN?,and the specific leaf area?SLA?was negatively correlated with the leaf dry weight?LW?.?3?Grazing interference seriously affects the plant characteristics of wetland in the river bank of the grassland.On different degradation sequences,the height of wetland plants in slightly degraded plots was significantly higher than that in degraded plots,and the productivity decreased.On the Different Grazing Gradients in the Xilin River Basin,the response to different degrees of degradation is not consistent with the level of the functional group or the plant common species level.
