Availability of the equipment has a high fluctuation in the initial stage.This will badly affect the cognition of the availability of the equipment and assessment of combat capability.So the research for the fluctuation of the instantaneous availability(IA)becomes more urgent to do.This paper aims to study the fluctuation of IA for the series system and parallel system with two(up and down)or three states(up,delay-repair and repair).Firstly,we analyze the fluctuation of IA for series system.By applying Laplace transform and its inverse transform on the renewal model of the IA for two-unit series system with two states,we can work out the analytical expression of IA and analyze its fluctuation.For two-unit series system with three states,a new renewal model is established.When the state of delay-repair and repair obey the same exponential distribution respectively,we find that the fluctuation exits under certain condition.Moreover,we generalize the conclusion to the condition that the system has n-units.We apply a numerical algorithm to get IA when three states are subject to general exponential distribution.Besides,we build the renewal model of IA for the two-unit series system with minor-repair and analyze its fluctuation.Secondly,we also analyze the fluctuation of IA for parallel system.By applying Laplace transform and its inverse transform on the Markov model of the IA for two-unit parallel system with two states,we will calculate out the analytical expression of IA and analyze its fluctuation.Then we use the same way to analyze the fluctuation of IA for n-unit parallel system with two states which the units are same.Next,we build the Markov model of IA for two-unit parallel system with three states.By four order Runge-Kutta,the numerical solution of IA can be gotten.Lastly,for IA of two-unit series system and parallel system with two states or three states,we set up a simulation platform.By selecting the system type and entering value,the diagram of IA can be gotten directly and the fluctuation will be analyzed.Then we use the simulation platform to analyze the fluctuation of IA for the Video Surveillance System.
