Soil quality plays an important role in the interface of ecosystem,and its maintenance and improvement is one of the important factors for sustainable development of global biosphere.A comprehensive study was conducted on the soil physical and chemical properties of Phyllostachys heterocycla cv.Pubescens forests,soil carbon and nitrogen cycling,and the impact of biomass carbon fertilizer application on soil nitrogen cycling under different management models in Moso bamboo plantations located in western district of Zhejiang by using participatory research methods.In addition,the trial on biochar fertilizer application into the field also was taken into consideration into our research.The main results are as follow:(1)As for the soil physical and chemical properties of Phyllostachys pubescens,extensive management of Phyllostachys forest> fir-bamboo mixed forest> intensive management of bamboo forest.The extensive management of pure bamboo has better water conservation ability and soil fertility characteristics while intensive management can lead to the decline of soil physical properties.(2)The results of soil carbon and nitrogen cycle of Phyllostachys under different management patterns show that according to the analysis of the correlation between soil organic carbon content and respiration rate,there was positive correlation between soil organic carbon and respiration rate(r2 = 0.81,p <0.05)in pure bamboo forest,while there was no significant correlation between mixed forest of Moso bamboo.The main differences in the total nitrogen content of the three types of bamboo were in the surface soil.The total N content in the soil surface of the mixed forest was the highest,reaching 2.82 g·kg-1,showing a significant difference compared to the other two types of bamboo forest.While the contents of total nitrogen in the two pure bamboo soils were basically the same.The total nitrification rate of three types of bamboo forests show intensive management of bamboo pure forest> general management of bamboo forest> Chinese fir-bamboo mixed forest.And the correlation analysis with different nitrogen indicators indicates that there was a significant correlation between soil total nitrification rate and soil inorganic nitrogen and soil ammonium content,but not with soil total nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen.The linear regression equations are Y = 4.6226X-8.306(R2 = 0.7084)and Y = 5.1075 X + 11.045(R2 = 0.6231),respectively.(3)Biochar application shows adding bamboo charcoal can significantly increase the p H of the soil,and as the amount of bamboo charcoal increases,the p H gradually increases.When the bamboo charcoal content increased to 2%,p H value significantly increased by 0.4 units,which is the largest increase.The highest addition of bamboo charcoal(bamboo charcoal content of 8%)increased the p H by 1.25 units,compared to blank group.Adding bamboo charcoal can significantly minimize the loss caused by ammonia volatilization,but the effect of different additions is different.The performance of minimizing the ammonia volatilization is the best when the proportion of Bamboo charcoal and urea is 1:5,but Most economical at 1:1.Adding bamboo charcoal can decrease the respiration rate of the soil,and the results of soil respiration rate of five treatments were 0>2%>8%>4%>6%.(4)Field trials show that,the amount of ammonia loss in the soil was 8.8 kg·hm-2,accounting for 5.87% of the total application at 150 kg·hm-2 compound fertilizer.Addition of bamboo charcoal and urea 1: 1 can effectively reduce the amount of ammonia volatilization loss,a decrease of 5.1 percentage points.Bamboo charcoal fertilizer can also significantly minimize the loss of soil inorganic nitrogen to deep soil.25 days later after fertilization,we can know bamboo nitrogen fertilizer 50-60 cm soil nitrogen leakage loss rate decreased by 14%.In this paper,we have done some research on the soil physicochemical properties,soil carbon and nitrogen cycling,application of biomass carbon fertilizers and application of biochar fertilizer in the field different management models.It not only helps to understand the soil quality characteristics of bamboo forest in this area,but also it has laid a certain foundation for carrying out fertilization of large areas of bamboo.
