Dongting Lake is not only an important storage Lake in the Yangtze River Basin,but also contains a wealth of mineral resources,and plays an important role in regional economic development and ecological environment.But in recent years due to the frequent exploitation of mineral resources in the Dongting Lake area,even illegal exploitation of mineral resources in Dongting Lake area without permission without the consent of the government sector,resulting in serious damage to the ecological environment in Dongting Lake area.One of the estimates of the reserves of mineral resources is an important work,there are many kinds of methods to estimate the reserves of mineral resources,such as the common geometric method(including the arithmetic average method,geological block method,profile method,contour method,triangle method etc.),statistical analysis method and SD method etc.The detailed research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)gradation characteristics of gravel layer in East Dongting Lake.The East Dongting Lake receives the water from the Yangtze River and Xiangjiang.The erosion,movement and deposition of the two rivers(fluvial),the flow velocity and the flow direction are staggered,and have seasonal variation,which results in the sediment grain grading of the East Dongting Lake lake is inconsistent with other areas.(2)theoretical study on reserves evaluation of glutenite in East Dongting Lake.On the natural sequence,the general coarse particles are in the lower and the fine particles are on.Under the combined action of variation of flow rate,complex velocity and flow direction,the accumulation and formation of gravel ore in East Dongting Lake Lake area must have its own law.(3)the key technologies of large area free mining amount determination of glutenite ore in Dongting Lake area.For resources exploration and evaluation of large area excavation is free may be the actual situation,analysis of sand gravel beds in hole drilling and sampling in situ underwater measurement principle,the key technology of large area excavation to determine the amount of free formed Dongting gravel mine.Through a series of research measures,such as drilling,sampling and analysis of soil sample,and sieving test in Dongting Lake area,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)most of the soil samples obtained from land drilling are good gradation.The largest particle size of sand gravel in five blocks is between 36mm-40mm,and the proportion of sand and gravel is larger.The D10 of soil samples obtained from drilling is basically less than 0.075mm,and the grading is uneven.(2)according to the analysis of soil samples on land drilling and water drilling,sand and gravel content decreased sharply,mud content significantly increased,that after dredgingship digging in the sand in the process of take away a lot of sand and gravel,gravel and large area excavation according to the original land reserves and after excavation of sand and gravel comparison of water on the sand and gravel reserves.
