The Republic of Namibia is located in the southwest of Africa,it is rich in mineral resources,the reputation of being known as the "strategic metal Repository" in the world and is famous for alaskite type uranium deposit.Namibia Husab mine is known as "the 21 st century's largest uranium found",has the special significance.This article is the comprehensive research on the basis of previous work,by the regional geology,mineral deposit geology,uranium mineralogy,the mineralogical characteristics,to explore Husab mine ore-controlling factors,metallogenic source,and the migration and precipitation of uranium enrichment.The results showed that:Husab mine is in the southern part of the central belt of Damara orogenic belt,about five kilometers north from the famous rossing uranium,about 10 kilometers south from the Ida Dome uranium deposits,has the good metallogenic conditions.Structure is one of the main ore-controlling factors of alaskite type uranium deposit,the lake mountain dome structure of regional development of uranium for uranium mineralization provides ample space of occurrence.Furthermore,regional welwitschia fracture provides channels for the activation of uranium migration.In Husab mine only alaskite uranium mineralization,and all other types of granite are not mineralization,thus,mineralized alaskite has some special properties.But,in A type,B type,C type,D type,E type,F type of alaskite,not only D alaskite mineralization,some regions E alaskite also mineralization,therefore,mineralization alaskite also has diversity.In Husab mine Uranium mainly exists in the form of independent uranium minerals,including uraninite,pitchblende,uranophane,brannerite,coffinite and uranothorite.Some uranium exists in isomorphic form in Th-bearing minerals,zircon,titanite,monazite and apatite.Detailed research was carried out to study the alteration types of U ore of Gaudeanmus area.Three stages could be generally observed: The first stage is late magmatic autometasomatism alteration.The second stage is mesothermal-epithermal alteration.The third stage is supergene oxidation alteration.
