With the advancement of the process of agrarianization, industrialization and urbanization, especially under the drive of economic interests, the landscape of dike-pond has been declining, affecting the ecological security of the region. In this study,an object-oriented method was used to extract the land use distribution status of Shunde District with Landsat satellite remote sensing images. It was analyzed the land use types and spatial distribution of landscape types of each towns and sub-districtst in 2015 in Shunde District.Four remote sensing images of 1979,1987,2000,and 2015 were used to analyze the overall characteristics, changing patterns and evolution patterns of landscape patterns of the dike-pond.An anomaly method and correlation coefficient was introduced to analysis promotion for landscape pattern spatial evolution of the dike-pond by natural drivers and cultural drivers. On this basis, conjunction with policy drivers to explore the positive and negative driving effects of human activities on the evolution of the landscape pattern of the dike-pond in the context of rapid urbanization.Accordingly corresponding development proposals was proposed. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The distribution pattern of the dike-pond landscape in Shunde Districtis was observed spatially clustered and mainly concentrated in the central of the Leliu Sub-district,Xingtan Town in the southwest and Jun'an Town. The general landscape showed a monotonous pattern in this area while the woodland, arable land and other landscapes were seriously fragmented and dominated by construction lands. The dike-pond landscape in Junan Town was observed the most serious fragmentation compared to other towns and sub-districts in Shunde District. After the rectification of high standards dike-pond,Xingtan town had the largest area of the dike-pond,which was 30.5%of the total dike-pond area, with spatially aggregation and large single pond parcel after the regulation of the primary cultivated lands.(2)In terms of time series, the increase of construction landscape led to a reduction of the dike-pond landscape and other landscapes(woodland, farmland, etc.)from 1979 to 2015.The landscape of the dike-pond was decreased from 41687.9 hm~2 in 1979 to 36370.6 hm~2 in 1987of Shunde District. There was a slight increase in 2000 and there were only 15861.5 hm~2 left in2015,appearing a gradual decrease. It shows that the agricultural land such as the dike-pond,woodland,and arable land outside the Shunde District has become invaded by the construction land resulting in a reduction in the area under rapid urbanization. The cost of traditional agriculture such as dike-pond has shrunk in the process of rapid urban development.(3)In terms of spatial distribution,The landscape space changes has been experienced the landscapes of the dike-pond landscape and other landscapes(woodland, farmland, etc.)dominated by the landscape-eastern and northeastern(woodland, farmland, etc.)were gradually occupied by construction land landscapes-Construction land landscapes began to invade and the number of landscapes in the base pond landscape and other lands(woodland, farmland, etc.)increased slightly-The construction land landscape has fully covered these four changes in Shunde District the period of rapid reform and opening up from 1979 to 2015.The occupation of construction land landscape gradually spreads from the periphery to the entire Shunde District, which indicates that the urbanization of Shunde District beginning from the outside. The reason that it was bordered by Guangzhou,Foshan and Zhongshan City influenced by the urbanization of surrounding areas and cities.(4)The spatial-temporal patterns of the landscape pattern of the dike-pond in the Shunde District mainly consisted of aggregation-distribution mode,non-equilibrium reduction mode and local-global mode of three modes from 1979 to 2015.(5)The calculation results of the correlation coefficient show that the area of agricultural land has a significant negative correlation with the population,GDP,total agricultural output value and total industrial output value. It is one of the main driving factors for the landscape change in dike-pond.It also has a negative space-driven role on the spatial evolution of the landscape pattern in dike-pond.All driving factors such as temperature and precipitation are not the main driving factors which affect the landscape evolution of dike-pond in Shunde District. The impact of human activities under the various policies on the landscape of the dike-pond landscape has both positive and negative effects.
