Methane needle-plane discharge plasma has practical application prospect and scientific research significance since methane conversion heavy oil hydrogenation is formed by the coupling of methane needle-plane discharge and heavy oil hydrogenation,which can achieve high-efficient heavy oil hydrogenation and increase the yields of high value-added light olefins.In recent years,more and more teams and research institutes have conducted experiments and numerical simulations on methane discharge plasma.In this paper,a two-dimensional fluid model is built up to carry out numerical simulation of methane needle-plane discharge plasma at atmospheric pressure.Spatial and axial distributions of electric intensity,electron temperature and particle densities are obtained.Reaction yields are summarized and crucial pathways to produce various kinds of charged and neutral particles are found out.Simulation results indicate that methane needle-plane discharge at atmospheric pressure has the discharge channel structure that is alike to the atmospheric pressure glow discharge.Axial evolutions of CH3+and CH4+densities,electric intensity and electron temperature are similar and closely related.Moreover,the pathways to consume CH2 are relatively complicated.Both electrons and C2H4+are consumed by the dissociative electron-ion recombination reactions.The essential reaction pathways of losing CH4+and C2H2+are the charge transfer reactions.1.Explain the plasma technology and the basic concept of methane discharge plasma.Simultaneously summarize the research status of methane discharge plasma.2.make introduction of the fluid model which base on Continuity equation,Maxwell's equation and a series of Conservation equations,give the physical assumptions of the model at the same time.Analyzes the COMSOL simulation software solution process as detailed as possible,simultaneously giving the methane discharge parameters.3.Using different discharge voltages,we calculated the methane needle-plate discharge plasma,and got the physical properties of electron density,electron temperature,and electric field.At the same time,we also analyze the influence of different discharge voltages on the methane plasma.4.The reaction system of methane needle-plate discharge plasma was also analyzed,and the detailed reaction route diagram was obtained.We calculated and compared the reaction yield of every reaction,which is the important reaction process in methane plasma was also analyzed.
