The optimization problem has always been a very important branch in applied mathematics, both in scientific research and in production and living, almost everywhere can not be separated from "optimization".However, with the rapid development of the times, technology life is changing with each passing day,and the difficulties to be solved are extremely difficult. As a result, the traditional ways and means to deal with a series of methods is faced with the dilemma that is no longer applicable. There are more and more experts and scholars to study the new optimization algorithms, and they learn from other disciplines or learn from the natural phenomena in the objective world. They put forward a lot of novel and unique intelligent optimization algorithms.Light Ray Optimization Algorithm(LRO)is an intelligent optimization algorithm based on the propagation of light in the objective world. The Light Ray Optimization Algorithm provides a new idea for the development and advancement of modern intelligent optimization algorithm. Therefore, the in-depth study of Light Ray Optimization Algorithm is a very important and valuable topic. The main work of this paper is as two follows:One of the research contents of this paper is to analyze the propagation of light in three-dimensional space and higher dimension space. Then, the three-dimensional space is taken as an example.According to the realization process of Light Ray Optimization Algorithm and the filling of different media will enable the light to be automatically optimized to study the light in the three-dimensional space optimization process. The other study of this paper is theoretically proved that the algorithm can realize the search conversion between two subspaces in the search process in the case of only refraction in the 3-dimensional space. Moreover,in the case of spherical function as an example, the combination of analysis and numerical experiment is used to study the situation of light conversion search subspace.Through a series of numerical experiments,it is found that the algorithm does search transformation in three subspaces, but it can also find numerical examples that can find the optimal value only by searching subspaces of two dimensions. That is to say,the selection of the initial point and the initial direction can affect the specificof converting the search space when the light is searched in the high-dimensional space.
