Research On Structural Expression Of Urban Spatial Pattern Oriented To Natural Language

Urban spatial patterns,known as the skeleton of city,reflect the architecture of urban space,are closely bound up with the many aspects of social activities,including economy,traffic,employment and land utilization.Constructing scientific and reasonable urban spatial patterns,seizing the layout elements of urban,benefits the planning decisions of the urban space.Therefore,urban spatial patterns are one of the important research contents of urban geography and urban planning.According to the current research of urban spatial patterns,it is rare to analyze the natural language description of the spatial patterns with the element characteristics of urban spatial patterns.Consequently,there is a lack of study on the structured expression of natural language description to urban spatial patterns,which are easily understood and expressed by computers.Based on the insufficient of other researches,the study focuses on the natural language of urban spatial patterns by analysis on the element characteristics.According to the basic-element model of Extenics,the paper discusses and studies the structured expression of urban spatial patterns.The main contents of the article are as follows:(1)Analysis of element characteristics of urban spatial patternAfter summering the typical planning textbook and graphs of China,the study analyzes the elements of urban spatial patterns and its spatial relationships from the perspective of semantic feature,geometric configuration and spatial relationships.Then,the study discusses the graphical expression of spatial pattern features and its modes.(2)Analysis of natural language description for urban spatial patternAccording to urban master planning,the study partitions the structure of the typical expression sentences about urban spatial patterns based on semantic feature attribute,geometric construction and relationships among those features,including sentence constituents,sentence structure,gramma modes.Furtherly,the study summarizes the expressions on spatial patterns which contains property restrictions and spatial relationship constraint.(3)Study on structured expression of urban spatial patternBased on the analysis of element features of patterns and natural expression of spatial patterns,according to the principle of basic-element model of Extenics,the study s the spatial pattern features,its property restrictions and spatial relationship constraint.Then,the study constructs a structured expression for the spatial patterns and verifies its feasibility with examples.
