Due to the global temperature increased year by year,led to the glacier area in western China reduced year by year,glacial retreat caused glacier area topography change dramatically.DEM(digital elevation model)is an important part of the geospatial information,is also the important basic data to study the effects of glacier change,in recent years for DEM glaciers in western China has become a hot research.Remote sensing as a door on comprehensive technology,and formed a from the ground to the air and space,from the information data acquisition,processing to the interpretation and application.Remote sensing technology applied in the study of the glacier is increasingly widespread,with the aid of remote sensing means for the global glacier dynamics study provides timely,accurate and cheap data sources.Since the 1990s,various remote sensing method is widely used,digital photogrammetry is one of the main access methods of DEM.In recent years,a series of high performance obtained the rapid development of remote sensing satellite system,a variety of high resolution,long phase,multispectral sensor captured images are used in ice research area,the multi-source remote sensing image to extract in the ice applications,not only to comprehensive utilization of the existing remote sensing inage data,to meet increasingly tight global climate change on glacier area shrinking impression investigation and study,but also can be in global climate change,regional water balance play an important role in such aspects,the research result can provide fresh water resources management and disaster prevention and mitigation,application reasonable scientific basis,and has a very high value?Extract stereo pairs based on DEM involves the relative orientation absolute orientation,generating epipolar image,DEM generation and editing,past relative orientation is to use a camera or sensor imaging parameters of geometric positioning,but most commercial remote sensing satellite is not currently available imaging parameters,provide only includes constructing the rational function model parameters used in the information file.The paper discusses the rational function model definition.Features.Calculating method for process.This paper use the IRS-P5 and ASTER stereo on new qingfeng-xiangguang fracture Ma Lanbing hat DEM extraction of work,and their subsequent extraction DEM of contrast and analysis.In case is of high precision control points,the IRS-P5 precision can reach 10 m,30 m ASTER accuracy can be achieved.Research results will help the IRS-P5 stereopair in DEM application in the process of production.
