In recent years,with the accelerated process of industrialization and urbanization,the quality of life has improved,and the demand for land resources and the pressure on the external environment have increased in various industries.This has caused a drastic transition of land use both in breadth and depth in China.Transition of land use is a new approach for the comprehensive study of land use and(or)land cover change,and it is the frontier of land use change research in currently.Studying land use transition will help us to understand its spatial expansion process and formulate scientific and rational land use development policies.Based on the county scale,taking Mashan County of Guangxi as the research object and 2002,2009,2013,and 2016 years as research time points,this study quantitatively and qualitatively analyzes the temporal and spatial characteristics of land use transition in Mashan County from the dominant and transitional forms,and analyzes the driving mechanisms that influence transition.Finally,based on the analysis results,the countermeasures and suggestions for the intensive use of land in the county area are proposed.The research methods include GIS and RS technologies,land-use data and socio-economic statistics,land-use dynamics,nuclear density,land-use transfer matrices,and land-use recessive transition index.It provides a theoretical basis and scientific reference for the rational utilization of land resources in Mashan County and promoting the sustainable development of the regional society.The main conclusions of the paper are as follows:(1)Dominant transition of land use: Judging from the quantitative structure,the land for construction increased rapidly from 2002 to 2016.Paddy fields,drylands,woodlands,water areas,and unused land have decreased.Throughout the study period,the transition of other construction sites was the fastest.The land use transition was most active during 2009-2013.In terms of changes in spatial structure,Baishan Town and Qiaoli County,where urbanization and industrialization are developing rapidly,have the most obvious differences.The transformational density around the towns and villages along Lai Ma Road and Ma Ping Road is the highest.From the perspective of different elevations,except for unutilized land,other types of lands are more active in the transition of low-altitude belts below 200 m.Judging from the different slopes,except for woodland and unused land,other land types are more active in the slope segment less than 15°.In view of land use transfer characteristics,construction land uses a large number of other land types.The new cultivated land is mainly transferred from forest land and unused land.In terms of driving force,the drivers of land use transition in Mashan County include natural environment factors and socio-economic factors.(2)Recessive transition of land use: Based on the principles of comprehensiveness,representativeness,and data availability,an evaluation index system for the construction land,cultivated land and forest land of Mashan Town was constructed.Using entropy method,the weight of each index was determine.Finally,the land use implicit index was calculated by linear weighting method.Provide data support for the analysis of land use recessive transition.The reason for the large changes in the magnitude and trend of the recessive pattern transition index in the economically underdeveloped counties is due to the capital investment and technical input,and is constrained by the geographical environment.Recessive transition of construction land was mainly analyzes by the efficiency and functional form.Among them,the utilization efficiency of construction land is increasing as a whole in 2002-2016.The annual average utilization efficiency continues to grow,but the growth rate continues to decrease.From 2002 to 2016,the economic function,social function and environmental function of construction land have been continuously enhanced,and the overall function has been rising.The transition of cultivated land use was mainly analyzed from the functional forms of cultivated land production in terms of functional patterns and the functional forms of cultivated land life support.From the perspective of townships and counties,the recessive morphological transition of farmland in Mashan County was analyzed.It was found that the recessive land use transition index was the first to decline and then rise.The recessive form transition of forestland was mainly analyzed from the continuous production capacity and functional form.From 2002 to 2016,the sustainable productivity index of woodland showed a decreasing trend overall.Although the continuous production capacity of the forest land continues to decrease,the transition rate slows down gradually.From 2002 to 2016,the economic function of woodland has been continuously strengthened.Compared with the three periods,the value of the economic functional form of woodland in 2009-2013 was the largest,and the growth rate was the fastest.(3)In order to promote the rational use of land in counties,the government should strengthen supervision and control land use violations according to law.Develop land potential and improve land use efficiency.Scientific planning and rational use of land resources.
