As a nondestructive exploration and detection method,Rayleigh wave exploration, compared with the traditional shallow seismic exploration and drilling, has the advantages of high efficiency, fast, economical and accurate. It has been developed into a hot technology and has been widely used in the field of geotechnical and shallow geological prospecting. However, due to the development of society,we will not be satisfied with the depth of exploration. We need to know more about the geological situation. Therefore,it is necessary to study the factors affecting the exploration depth, and this is also a prospect for the potential of surface wave exploration. In this paper, from different aspects are discussed,at last improve the exploration depth of Rayleigh wave. The introduction mainly describes the background and significance of the topic, the development history, research content and technical route of surface wave exploration. The basic theory of the second chapter introduces the production, propagation and various characteristics of Rayleigh wave, and expounds the principle, method and equipment of Rayleigh face wave in the field. In the third chapter, combined with the literature and the experience of surface wave operation,we discussed the possible factors from various aspects. In the fourth chapter, the forward modeling of the numerical simulation is introduced, and the forward process of the surface wave finite difference is introduced. The different geological models and the simulated observation system are compared and analyzed. In the fifth chapter, the data processing system is introduced. At the same time, several curve inversion methods are briefly introduced. Finally, the results of different processing methods are shown. The sixth chapter of the Loess applied research part, first summarized the experience of the Loess experiment, and put forward a optimum exploration process of the loess, and then the concrete engineering application on the loess ground was carried out in the previous chapter, and the conclusion was made with the combination of the known characteristics. The positive inversion research in the interior theory can control many variables,so the control of other variables can only be more accurate in the study of one variable. In this paper, the experimental site of the known characteristics of the loess land has been studied for the first time on the factors affecting the depth of surface wave exploration. At the same time,it is the first time to show the influence process of the factors more intuitively from different geological models and observation systems.Under the above research,we have done the following work and conclusion. In this paper, the theoretical and experimental study of the observation system has found that, under the field conditions, the different observation systems will have a great influence on the exploration of the face wave, and we choose a set of optimal observation system to increase the depth of the exploration of the loess. On the other hand,in the data processing, the article emphasizes the removal of the interference wave.At the same time,we have done some research on the inversion method. It is recommended to determine the geological condition by using the experience combined with the computer to select the depth coefficient. Finally, the previous work was applied to the exploration of the Loess platform, and the exploration depth was improved successfully.According to the difference of the phase velocity, the direction of irrigation water infiltration, the depth of the aquifor layer or the main aquifer depth were determined, and the exploration task was completed well.It is also proved that the depth of surface wave exploration has certain potential and is worth digging.
