With the development of the economy, human activities have significantly affected the atmospheric environment and the ecosystems with the increasing air pollutant emissions and atmospheric aerosols.Aerosols can deposite through wet and dry deposition during the transportation and preserved in the ice cores. For the ice core from the Tibetan Plateau, massage of the atmospheric environment can be preserved in good condition and the ice core can provide a feasible way for studying the history of the past atmospheric environment, especially the influence of human activities on the atmospheric environment.Himalaya is the central aera for the glaciers in the Tibetan Plateau, and the Himalayas is an ideal region for the restoration of paleoclimate records. The ice cores in Himalaya provide evidence for the material transport of the Indian monsoon and the emissions in South Asia.In this work, the author studied the Qiangyong ice core, which is from the middle of the Himalaya, and analyzed the source of both of the anions and cations in the Qiangyong ice core. The Qiangyong ice core has a 23 years record of soluble ion in the past. The source of the ions and atmospheric circulation in Qiangyong area are analyzed. The atmospheric factors were preliminarily discussed and the record is compared with the ion record of the ice cores in other representative glaciers. The results show:The study area is influenced by both of the westerly wind and the Indian monsoon. The major ions and cations in Qiangyong ice core have significant correlations and the trend of the composition is the same. The source components of the Qiangyong ice core probably include dust, ocean, evaporation from the salt-lake,troposphere exchange and anthropogenic pollution.Dust meterials have high correlations and show the uniqueness of the geographic location in the transportation process: Longer transport distances and larger leaching potential cause lower ion concentrations than that of the northern region;compared with other place in the southern part of the Tibetan Plateau, small amount of precipitation leads to a higher ion concentration.Ammonium is transported from the southern Asia and scavenged by the precipitation. From the record of the ammonium in the Qiangyong ice core,a rising trend was founded, which showed the same trend with the temperature of Northern Hemisphere and the development of agriculture in Southern Asia.Comparing with the ammonium record from Xixiabangma's,it was revealed that the ice core drilling spot is located on the northern slope of the Himalayas and the ice core at the location of the transportation process has low precipitation intensity affect the low concentration of ammonium.Comparing with representative ice core ion records in other regions, the result shows the deposition of ions is influence by the large-scale circulation.
