Geo-hazards refer to the geological phenomena that are formed under the action of natural or man-made factors and cause damage and loss to human lives, properties, and environment, such as collapse, landslides, mud flows, and ground subsidence. The occurrence of geo-hazards is closely related to water, and the impact of meteorological factors on the formation of geo-hazards is significant, and especially strong rainfall is an important factor in inducing geo-hazards.Fuyang District of Hangzhou City is located in the northwest of Zhejiang Province. The types of geo-hazards that have occurred in Fuyang District include landslides, collapses, mudslides, and ground collapses.Rainfall, especially heavy rainfall,is one of the most important factors inducing the occurrence of geo-hazards in this area.By conducting research on the correlation between geo-hazards and rainfall in Fuyang, the characteristics of rainfall-induced geo-hazards are analyzed, and rainfall-induced geo-hazards are easily implemented. The evaluation is of great significance for further improving the level of early warning of geo-ha2zards and strengthening the capacity for disaster prevention and reduction. This paper takes Fuyang District of Hangzhou City as the research area, and based on rich detailed investigation data and rainfall data, through the investigation of geological conditions in Fuyang District, the type and characteristics of geo-hazards in Fuyang District were analyzed, and the geo-hazards and annual averages were studied in-depth.The relationship between rainfall, rainfall days and monthly average rainfall, rainfall days, rainfall types, and rainfall intensity explored the critical values of rainfall-induced and geologically-prone geo-hazards,and the susceptibility to geo-hazards in the region. The division of evaluation was conducted. Finally, countermeasures and suggestions for prevention and control of rainfall-induced geo-hazards in Fuyang District were proposed.Through the study of geo-hazards in Fuyang District of Hangzhou City, the main conclusions are as follows:1.Geo-hazards are widely distributed in Fuyang District, and are concentrated in the townships of the North West and South East 65.8%of geo-hazards in Fuyang District occurred in June,July and August. The overall trend was similar to the trend of multi-year monthly average rainfall in Fuyang District, which was the same as the cumulative statistical trends of large and heavy rains.2.According to the rainfall data of geo-hazards over the years in Fuyang District,a critical rainfall analysis was conducted to preliminarily determine the cumulative rainfall of the most prone geo-hazards in Fuyang District for a period of 1d cumulative rainfall of 80-90mm,cumulative rainfall for 2d and 3d,the amount is between 190 and 200mm;effective rainfall is around 90mm.3.Based on the geo-hazard proneness degree index method,on the field data collection, evaluation and comprehensive analysis,a total of 15 high-prone areas(accounting for 8.65%of the total area)and 23 areas of medium-prone areas(accounting for 28.03%of the total area),37 low-prone areas(38.01%of the total area),and least-prone areas(25.31%of the total area).
