Jiyuan Basin belongs to the warm temperate semi-arid continental monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The general geomorphology of Jiyuan territory is that of the east of Liba Village as an inclining piedmont plain in the east, the lofty mountains in the north, the mountains in the west, and the hills in the south, forming a dome-shaped basin with high west and low east. The open strata of Kong hill,Taihang and Wanyang hills in the northern part of the Jiyuan Basin are Cambrian-Ordovician carbonate rocks;in the southern hilly region,Quaternary loess, and in the middle-eastern plain,Quaternary sand gravel and sand Soil, silt and silty clay. The groundwater resources in the Jiyuan Basin are abundant. The types of groundwater mainly include Quaternary loose rock pore water and Cambrian-Ordovician carbonate rock fracture karst water.Jiyuan City's industries are mainly thermal power, smelting, coking, steel, chemicals, and building materials. Most of its major industrial enterprises are located in the piedmont areas in the north and west of the Jiyuan Basin. The rapid economic development rate, unreasonable industrial layout, and its special topography and landform are not conducive to the proliferation of atmospheric pollutants, and seriously affect the quality of the ambient air in Jiyuan City, resulting in water pollution. Therefore, the study of groundwater chemical characteristics and distribution and change laws in the Jiyuan Basin is of great significance for the sustainable development of the local social economy and the maintenance of the balance of the ecological environment. In this paper, the circular plot method, frequency histogram and Piper three-line diagram, combined with factor analysis and cluster analysis, the distribution of the main components of groundwater and the types of water chemistry in the Jiyuan Basin are studied. The following conclusions are drawn:The concentrations of main cations and anions in the pore water and karst water of the Jiyuan Basin are:Ca2?10??29?Mg2?10??29?Na?10??29?K?10?andHCO3-?29?SO42-?29?NO3-?29?lC-.The main ions in pore water and karst water have a small overall change and their distribution is concentrated.Northern Subterranean Basin Hydration Chemical Types HCO3–Ca?Mgtype and HCO3–Ca type are converted intoHCO3?SO4–Ca?Mgtype.Western Basin:Groundwater Chemistry Near Sili Town evolved from HCO3–Ca type to HCO3?SO4–Ca?MgType;Groundwater chemistry near Quyang Lake by HCO3–CaThe type evolved intoCl?HCO3–Ca?Mgtype.Basin Southeast:groundwater chemistry type HCO3–Ca?Mgtype evolutionHCO3?SO4–Ca?Mg?Natype.South of the basin:the front of the Loess Hilly Region remains natural HCO3–Ca type and HCO3–Ca?Mg type in the state. The main reasons for changing the groundwater chemical types in the Jiyuan basin are:the large-scale factories in Jiyuan City are located in the northern and western piedmont areas. The output of major industrial products has rapidly increased, and the amount of coal burned has increased rapidly, leading to a large increase inCO2,SO2,andNOx in the atmosphere. And the special geographical environment and meteorological factors of the Jiyuan Basin are not conducive to the diffusion of pollutants.CO2,SO2,andNOx in the air infiltrate into the ground with the rainfall, chemical reactions occur with the minerals in the formation, and the type of groundwater chemistry changes. The contents ofCa2?10?,Mg2?10?,HCO3-,SO42-andNO3-increased,and the total hardness and dissolved total solids of groundwater also increased correspondingly.
