| Anti-de Sitter/conformal field theories(AdS/CFT)correspondence is a strong-weak duality, which indicates that we can discuss some physical properties of the strongly coupled systems by studying the weakly gravitational systems.Recently,AdS/CFT correspondence has been widely used to deal with the strongly coupled systems in condensed matter physics, especially the high temperature superconduc-tor and superfluid.Using the AdS/CFT correspondence,in this thesis we investigate the effect of the Weyl corrections on the p-wave superfluid phase transition via a Maxwell com-plex vector field model in the probe limit, which will help us to understand the influences of the 1/N(N is the color quantum number)or 1/λ(λ is the’t Hooft coupling)corrections on the holographic dual models. We observe that the higher Weyl corrections make it easier for the superfluid phase transition to be triggered but hinder the appearance of translating point from the second-order transition to the first-order one and the emergence of the Cave of Winds.Comparing with the effect caused by the curvature corrections,we find that these two classes of impor-tant higher-derivative corrections have completely different effects on the properties of the holographic superfluid.Furthermore, for the supercurrent with fixed temper-ature,we show that, near the critical temperature, our result is independent of the Weyl coupling parameter and in very good agreement with the Ginzburg-Landau prediction. |
