Charmonium is a bound state of charmed quark and anti-charmed quark. Its energy region is between perturbative energy region and non-perturbative energy region,so this is an important place to study the QCD rmechanisms.Because of the main decay model of charmonium that 'it's energy is above theDD threshold is strong decay, that will provide an idle place to deepening our understanding about charmonium's structure and their interactions. So many charmonium resonances had found in recent years. To deepen the understanding of charmonium physics and the nature of QCD,it is necessary to study their strong decay properties within 3P0 model. For this purpose,we first study the charmonium spectrum within the widely used screened potential model and linear potential model, and we calculate their mass up to 5S,6P and 3D states. The wavefunctions of the initial charmonium states are adopted from the calculations by the screened potential and the linear potential models, then we expand them in terms of a set of Gaussian basis functions. We have done a detailed study on four well-established charmonium state,?(3770),?4040),?(4160)and Xc2(3927),and a.set of parameters are fitted out by fitting the initial wavefunction. Then we study charmonium particle's strong decay properties. As a conclusion, the four well-established states ?(3770),?4040),?(4160)and Xc2(3927)can be well described, and we think that ?(4415)may favor the ?(4S)or ?1(3D)assignment;In the linear potential model,X(4660),X(4500)may be assigned as ?(5S),XC0(4P),respectly;X*(3860)can be assigned as Xc0(2P)width a narrow decay width of about 30 MeV;It seems to be difficult to accommodate the X(4140)and X(4274)states in the same potential model as excited Xcl states; The X(3900)resonance can be assigned as ?(3S)state;Y(4230/4260,4360),X(4700)may not be in the traditional charmonium states.
