As global environment is getting worse and environmental problems are attracting the attentions of governments and scientists all over the world.The prosperity and development of Global Change Science(GCS)becomes inevitable.Issues of environment will always have an influence on global society economy and politics.Duzheng Ye,who proposed and participated in the international research on problems about Global Change,is one of the initiators of GCS research programs in China.In the field of GCS,Mr.Ye has put forward a series of scientific thoughts and original outcome.At the same time,he is working tirelessly of the course of national GCS,making it progress by leaps and bounds and develop further.In today's academic world,the complex research of GCS involves multiple areas and separates away from each other with Earth System Science as its core.Considering that,this subject will focus on what Mr.Ye has done for China's GCS with some objects.In order to make the research more explicit and vivid,Prof.Yes trails of work as well as venation and factors of development of the subject will be discussed.Firstly,a method combining literature study and analysis by synthesis is
