As one of the representatives of postmodernism,Baudrillard depicts the present situation of contemporary society in 80 s with his unique and pluralistic perspective.Baudrillard's thought gradually entered the public vision and life.Scholars at home and abroad paid close attention to this infectious thinker,studied his thoughts,and set off an upsurge of research.It is called "Baudrillard effect".This paper summarizes Baudrillard's philosophy of technology,including the following aspects:(1)The origin and background of Baudrillard's thought.Baudrillard's philosophy of technology originated from Frankfurt School's criticism of technological rationality and McLuhan's view of technological media.After World War II,capitalist countries experienced a period of rapid development of science and technology and culture.Baudrillard developed his philosophy against this background.(2)The main contents of Baudrillard's philosophy of technology.This paper discusses the three aspects of Baudrillard's early revelation of things,his criticism of media technology in the middle period,and his pessimistic technological determinism in the latter stage.Baudrillard's understanding of things is different from that of ordinary things(3)A Review of Baudrillard's philosophy of Technology.Baudrillard's philosophy of Technology has its reasonableness,and he analyzes the technological objects and mass media.The existence of his theory dispels the subjectivity of man,which eventually leads him into technical pessimism.(4)The contemporary significance of Baudrillard's philosophy of technology.This paper discusses the theoretical and practical significance of Baudrillard's philosophy of technology,which is helpful for people to correctly understand the influence of Baudrillard's philosophy of technology on contemporary society.
