Earthquake analysis and forecast is an important segment in the work of disaster prevention,it mainly consists of the following two sections: firstly,predict time,location and magnitude of earthquakes that will take place in long term,mid-term and short term according to precursory information anomalies in regions with good monitoring bases and profound studies of local earthquakes,so that the alleviation of the damage caused could be maximized.Secondly,after damaging earthquakes took place,seismic department could synthetically analyze according to materials such as precursory data and earthquake sequence and structures,determine the after-trend of the earthquake,forecast following earthquakes to a certain extent.Earthquake analysis and forecast software MapSIS is an important method for seismic researchers to analyze the trends of earthquakes and a significant tool to form opinions about earthquake forecast.But due to copyright thus software cannot be used generally,therefore,it is very necessary to develop an earthquake analysis and forecast software based on open source GIS architecture.This system is based on C/S system architecture and open source GIS Dotspatial developing environment,using C# and Oracle database to develop on the base of the system framework of the combination of plug-in development and components development.It achieves geographical base map basic operation using related methods such as Dotspatial's ZoomIn,ZoomOut,Pan,Symbology,Analysis and Projection;realizes the map's zooming in and out,displaying and hiding,moving,legend edition and distance and area measuring based on studying the regional measurement algorithm;establishes graticules dynamic data drawing model,dynamically draw graticule by acquiring real time longitude and latitude range on screen using Map.PixelToProj;draws seismic intensity map using LinearRine combined with linear source intensity model,meanwhile display prefecture-level city in the affected region;realizes the trimming of the working space of maps by users' selection of the display scope of the region computing Map widget;compares the ‘ten five' precursory observing data in precursory observing Oracle database with the threshold value set by specialists using Echarts developing technique,display the precursory data by maps and charts.This system's realization completely solves MapInfo's copyright problem,gives technical support to the earthquake analysis and forecast industry.The system is currently deployed and installed in seismological bureau in Sichuan,Yunnan,Gansu and Hebei province and has gained favorable feedbacks.
