Due to the frequent occurrence of oil spill accidents on the sea,the marine environment has been polluted.In order to solve this problem,research and development of high-efficiency and low-cost oil-water separation materials have important research value.In this paper,we prepared CNT/PMMA coated steel wire mesh that can be applied to oil-water separation,and studied its performance in-depth.In this paper,CNT/PMMA composites were prepared by ultrasonic solution blending,and CNT/PMMA coating was prepared on stainless steel mesh substrate by a facile spray-coating method.The water droplets exhibited hydrophobicity on the surface of CNT/PMMA coated stainless steel mesh as measured by a contact angle meter.The thermal stability of CNT/PMMA composites and the surface morphology of CNT/PMMA composite coatings were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and atomic force microscopy(AFM).The 100 mesh stainless steel mesh modified by CNT/PMMA composite coating has a static water contact angle up to 160° and oil contact angle is less than 100°.The dynamic behavior of water droplets/oil droplets on the mesh shows that the CNT/PMMA coated mesh has good superhydrophobicity and superoleophilicity.Oil-water separation experiments showed that the separation efficiency of the CNT/PMMA coated stainless steel mesh reached more than 90%for the five oil-water mixtures,and the separation efficiency was maintained after 30 cycles.In this paper,the properties of CNT/PMMA composite coatings were characterized.The results of potentiodynamic polarization curves show that after the CNT/PMMA composite coating is modified,the corrosion potential of the stainless steel mesh increases by an order of magnitude,and the corrosion current decreases by three orders of magnitude.The results of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy show that the CNT/PMMA coating has a comparatively large impedance.The corrosive medium immersion experiment showed that there was no obvious corrosion change on the surface of CNT/PMMA coating,and it maintained a superhydrophobic state;before and after the 3.5%NaCl immersion test,the impact resistance,adhesion and pencil hardness performance of the coating had no significant changes.
