Currently,due to the long extensive utilization of mineral resources,poor management of mining activities,as well as lack of awareness of environmental protection in mining,it led to a series of serious social and ecological problems.To solve these problems,in terms of mine to rectify and standardize the order of mineral resources development,the state implemented a series of measures.However,look at these measures,we found recognition method of surface mining is still relatively traditional.These methods are mainly two:field investigation and based on visual interpretation of high-resolution remote sensing images.The traditional identification methods in mining,requires field verification,workload,resource-intensive,low efficiency,has been difficult to meet the needs of applications related sectors.With the development of remote sensing and GIS,automatic identification of surface mining has become possible.This paper presents a recognition method of surface mine based on remote sensing and GIS.First,we need to take high-resolution remote sensing image data a series of processing,such as cropping,scaling,fusion,feature extraction and so on.Then,using remote sensing information extraction method to extract the object-oriented elements of surface mining,including ore stockpiles,buildings,tailings etc.Finally,on the basis of surface mining extraction elements,combined with the characteristics of mine,full analysis the spatial distribution of surface mining(mining,beneficiation),to build mine(mining,beneficiation)recognition model to identify mines.This article on the basis of the existing studies on the identification of surface mines,with high-resolution remote sensing data as the main data source,using the RS technology,GIS technology,RS and GIS integration technology and software engineering technology,demand-driven,to carry out system design and development,and finally to build a surface mine identification system that can not only provide a scientific basis for real-time monitoring of mining situation,but also has great significance for the protection and optimization of mining development environment.System is an integrated system on remote sensing and GIS on the.NET platform,which uses ENVI/IDL secondary development of remote sensing,to achieve the processing and analysis of remote sensing images;use ArcEngine integrated development approach to achieve the GIS space data management and analysis capabilities.At the same time,this system uses third-party controls DevExpress,designed to achieve a fake Office2010 interface,the interface is elegant,beautiful and flexible.The system's help module helps users to quickly understand the system.Finally,this paper,lead-zinc concentration area in Guanyinyan and Bamaozhai that located in Huayuan County,Hunan Province as the experimental areas.Then,using the system to identify its surface mine based on high resolution IKONOS image.At the same time,combined with the results of the field survey and interpretation of high resolution remote sensing data to verify the results of the identification.Experimental results show that the system in terms of mineral separation,its recognition accuracy is high,but in terms of mining,recognition accuracy is low,further research is needed.It also shows that the system has a certain degree of reliability.
