Bryophytes were used as the object of study,using the important values,niche breadth and niche overlap values as the metric,56 species of 20 m × 20 m in the Xiaoqinling Nature Reserve and 100 m × 100 m in the Baotianman Nature Reserve were studied.The niche characteristics were analyzed and studied.The results are as follows:1.In this paper,association types and substrate(trees,rock and soil)as a resource axis respectively on niche characteristics of bryophyte were studied and compared in 56 sites of Xiaoqinling.Two kinds of resource axis of bryophytes niche characteristics were different,In different resource axis,the sort of niche breadth of bryophytes species occur to change,Brachythecium was much greater,and Plagiomnium and Jungermania in two kinds of resource axis were different.In the growth base types for resource axis of niche proportional similarity and overlap value was higher than that in the association types.The value of individual species was significantly changed in order to sort in different resource axis.In two kinds of resources axis,Homaliodendron and Pylaisiella had exactly the opposite result.2.The Haplohymenium was the highest in the niche,and the highest niche breadth was used as the resource,respectively,under the dominant species of Quercus aliena in the Baotianman Nature Reserve,Indicating that the genus has a strong range of adaptation,strong ability to use environmental resources,followed by Fissidens,Tortella,Pseudoleskeella,Herpetineuron and Atrichum,indicate that the utilization of environmental resources is weak and the range of adaptation is narrow.Niche overlap values are relatively large,indicating that the bryophyte community within the bryophytes on the use of environmental resources or possession of the same or similarities.3.Comparing the important values of the bryophyte communities in the two study areas,it is found that the bryophytes in the two study areas were quite different in the species.The reason for this may be due to the different types of clusters Quercus aliena dominated the cluster type,while the Xiaoqinling plots were based on Pinus armandii,and the two species were different Of the cluster type in the temperature and light conditions would produce some differences.The maximum niche breadth of the two study areas were Haplohymenium and Brachythecium,and the least niche width was Atrichum and Homaliodendron,respectively.The niche overlap values of bryophytes in the two regions were relatively large,and although species were different,there were similarity between species and environment.The relationship between niche breadth and niche overlap was also similar to that of vascular plants.The niche overlap between species with large niche breadth is higher,and the species with large niche breadth and niche breadth were There may be a high niche overlap value,the niche breadth of the species between the species may also exist between the higher niche overlap value.
