Mingshui and Dasuji area of Inner Mongolia is located in the Paleozoic accretionary fold belt(? level)of Wenduermiao-Xarmoron in Tarim-North China plate(? level),which is the accretion zone of the margin of the North China plate.It is of theoretical and practical significances to study its geological characteristics,the metallogenic geological conditions and rules,which can be helpful to the further mining exploration and development.On the bases of geological field surey and analyses of rock samples,the work of mineral 1:50000 regional geological survey was made by applying of multidiseiplinary methods of mineralogy and geochemistry.The thesis analyzed the geological features of the region,which include the strata,lithology,structure and factors of controlling ore deposit.Metallogenic model of main mineral types of this area and metallogenic prediction were made.The main strata of the Mingshui and Dasuji area was studied,which can be devided as follows:the Seertengshan Group of the Neoarchean Erathem(Ar3S),the Dulahala Formation and the Baiyunebo Group of the Meso-and Neoproterozoic Erathem(Chd),the Daqingshan Formation of the Middle Jurassic of the the Mesozoic Erathem(J2d),the Bainvyangpan Formation of the the Lower Cretaceous(Kbn),the Baogedawula Formation of the Pliocene of the Neogene,the Pleistocene(Qpeld)and the Holocene(Qhalp),the Quaternary.Metallogenic strata are the Neoarchean Erathem(Ar3S).Further work has been put on the characteristics of petrology,lithochemistry,trace element geochemistry and rare earth element geochemistry of the ore districts as well as the surrounding rocks.Combining with detailed field work,we obtained some new understanding on the geology.Then a few new achievements were gained on the mineral exploration,and several new ore occurrences were found.Meanwhile,the three mineralization types existing in the ore districts were summarized.In brief,the principal tectonic direction shows a north-east-east trending,and the mineralization has a closely relationship with the Bayan Obo orogeny and Variscian movement,as well as their generated fracture structures.Granite locates in the center of the mineralization zoning,and the iron ore is our prospecting target.With the above work,new achievements were gained about the geological and mineralizing characteristics of the study area.The understanding of the geological characteristics and mineralization background goes a bit deeper.Also,a breakthrough was made in prospecting,22 new mineralized spots and a mineralized body were discovered,and the three existing mineralization types were ascertained,which are dominated by magnetite and limonite,partly by molybdenite and black tungsten mineralization.The granite body is the center of the mineralization zoning,and we ascertain three minerogenic prospects.
