Research On The Influence Of YuLi Railway On The Social Economy Along The Road

As an upgrade version of traditional railway,high-speed railway has not only changed the overall transportation pattern of China,but also promoted the process of regional economic integration in China because of its fast speed,high frequency and high punctuality.And to the production of areas along the line,life has brought a profound impact.In end of 2013,the Yu-Li Railway was completed and opened to traffic,marking the beginning of the "high-speed railway era" in the eastern and western parts of Chongqing and Hubei.The construction of Yu-Li railway is of great practical significance in undertaking industrial transfer,speeding up the construction of modern industrial system,speeding up the process of urban-rural integration and getting rich from poverty.But at the same time,it also brings many severe challenges to the social and economic development of the areas along the route,such as the loss of factors of production,the intensification of urban competition and the construction of infrastructure.Through a systematic review of the existing literature,it is found that there are more studies on the positive role of high-speed railway on the social economy along the line,and less research on the existing problems and challenges.Especially,the research on the social and economic impact of the development of high-speed railway in the western underdeveloped areas is rather lacking.Based on the traffic economic belt,point-axis gradual development and core theory-edge regional economics as the foundation,the qualitative analysis of the mechanism of high speed railway construction impact on the social and economic development area,including access to shorten the area time,optimization of regional industry structure and promote regional economic growth.Then,this paper demonstrates the impact of Yu-Li Railway on the social and economic development of the areas along the line.The results show that the Yu-Li Railway not only shortens the access time,but also improves the transport mode of the areas along the line;Yu-Li railway optimized the industrial structure of the area along the line,especially promoted the rapid development of local tourism;Yu-Li railway plays an important role in promoting the economic status of the underdeveloped areas of eastern Chongqing and western Hubei,and promoting the economic integration development of the areas along the line.Finally,this paper points out the main problems of restricting Yu-Li railway to promote the social and economic development of the areas along the line,and on the basis of the successful experience of foreign developed countries.The countermeasures and suggestions of using Yu-Li railway to accelerate the social and economic development along the railway line are put forward.
