For enterprises,profit is the most important goal.The profit pattern is the foundation for the survival of the company and the method of guiding the company to obtain profits.Nowadays,China has become the largest mobile game market in the world.However,mobile game products are not innovative enough.Problems such as the same type of products are imitated and homogenized,the user’s retention capacity is not strong,the difficulty of forming the scale of users in a short period,have gradually emerged.Research on the profit pattern of the mobile game industry is rare.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the profit pattern of excellent “phenomenon level” mobile game products currently appearing in the industry.This article takes the profit pattern of the Arena of Valor game as the research object.At present,mobile games on the market are mainly free games,and freeium is a profit pattern that many games will choose.The Arena of Valor game is a freeium mobile game and it is one of the most outstanding games in Tencent’s game platform.The "phenomenon level" mobile game has brought tremendous profits to Tencent over the past two years.Therefore,the successful profit pattern behind the game can provide a template for other mobile game companies.Based on the theory of the five elements of the profit pattern and related theories of the freeium profit pattern,this article analyzed the user scale index,operation index,and influence of the the Arena of Valor game.Also analyzed the five elements of the profit pattern,those are profit objects,profit points,profit sources,profit levers,profit barriers,and as well as analyzed game and its related industry chains in depth.The analysis concluded that the success of the Arena of Valor game is based on three key conditions,those are,low marginal cost,scale users,and strong word-of-mouth effect for satisfying the freeium profit pattern,and it enhances user stickiness and balance of the game;effectively identifies customers and focuses on the potential market;free mode mainly uses cross-subsidies;The use of the social attributes of the game,the development of the entire industry chain,and other successful use of the freeium profit model conclusions.And through the analysis of its profit pattern for other types of mobile game companies to bring inspiration for the future development of mobile game companies to provide reference.
