Study On The Pattern Of International Timber Trade And China’s Development Situation Based On Social Network Analysis

Since twenty-first Century,the competition for resources is becoming more and more fierce.As an important strategic material,resources can not only determine a country’s economic development,but also have a significant impact on the implementation of national security strategy and the establishment of a new round of world economic and political order.As an indispensable material,timber has evolved from the general economic resources into national strategic resources and been the word’s attention in the industrial production and the national life.In the era of economic globalization,all countries’ economy has becoming mutual interdependence,mutual penetration,mutual competition and has developed from the pure resources competition to mutual cooperation and win-win.International trade system is a complex network that all trade countries interact,international timber trade is an indispensible part in the unified trade system,The present situation,characteristics and development of international timber trade network is an urgent subject.This paper tries to analyze the characteristics of international timber trade network from the two kinds of wood according to data of more than 120 countries’ roundwood and sawnwood from 2005 to 2014.This paper analysis the evolution of international timber trade pattern and the timber trade network density,centrality and core-periphery structure using the method of social network analysis.The characteristics and evolvement laws of the world timber trade network are analyzed in this paper.The third chapter mainly introduces the present situation and problems of the world timber trade and China’s timber trade.In the fourth chapter,I will construct the world timber trade network graph in 2014,and analyze the network density,centrality analysis and core-periphery analysis of international timber trade network.The fifth chapter introduces the characteristics and status of China in the international timber trade network.The sixth chapter is about the development of China’s timber trade,and finally puts forward the optimization strategy.The timber trade development not only provides an important strategic material but also can promote forest restoration and protection of the ecological environment for the country,study on the world timber trade network has important significance to promot the sustainable development of global economy and the healthy development of ecological environment;the analysis on characteristics and evolution of the world timber trade network have important enlightenment to Chinese timber trade development.As a new method for the study of the pattern of trade in timber,the method of social network analysis expands the theory and method studying on the wood trade in this paper.
