Based on the panel data model,this paper builds an objective evaluation mechanism about competition situational analysis of domestic passenger car market,the main purpose is to make an objective analysis about competition in different models of domestic passenger car market and the competition in passenger car enterprises in 2009-2014.At the same time to help car manufacturers to clear the market position of different models and competition between different models,and provide a reference for the formulation of the marketing strategy of passenger car enterprises.First of all,according to the total sales of each passenger car in 2014,classify passenger cars which have price and sales data in 2009-2014,clustering results make the passenger car market in accordance with the total sales into high,medium and low three categories.Secondly,using each passenger car for six consecutive years of price and sales data,the panel data model is established for the three types of passenger car market respectively.Through the parameter estimation of the model,we get the weight coefficient of each passenger car in the three kinds of passenger car market.Finally,using the price weight coefficient of each passenger car to analyze the competitive situation between different passenger cars for the three types of passenger car market respectively,this paper also analyzes the characteristics of passenger cars which have the larger market position in each type of passenger car market.At the same time,this paper analyzes the competitive situation between passenger car enterprises and the competitive situation of the whole passenger car market.Using the panel data model to analyze the competitive situation of domestic passenger car market,this method is objective and effective.The results show that passenger cars which have the larger market position in each type of passenger car market have different characteristics,but on the whole,passenger cars which have the lager market position and competitive,part of from Chery,Geely,JAC,BYD and Chongqing Changan and other independent brands of mini-car or small car,the other part is from Changan Mazda,Beijing Hyundai,Changan Ford,Shanghai GM and FAW-Volkswagen and other joint venture brand compact car.The study also found that the competition between passenger cars is not just the competition between different enterprises,there is fierce competition among different passenger cars of the same enterprise.At the same time,according to the objectives and strategies of passenger car enterprises can be seen in the next few years,passenger car enterprises will be in the new energy vehicles,unmanned vehicles and personalized products in three areas of intense market competition.
