| In less than 20 years,China’s Internet has developed rapidly. All walks of life and all aspects of people’s lives have been unprecedentedly affected.Internet application technology is a technological innovation across the age. With the gradual maturity and popularization of technology,China has entered the era of Internet. This paper is under the background of the continuous development of China’s Internet, studing the impact of China’s Internet on employment and income gap.In the study of employment, this paper selects the panel data of 2005-2015 Chinese 29 provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions),using spatial econometric methods to conduct the empirical analysis of the national, sub regional and sub industries. The results show that the popularity of the Internet has a complex impact on employment, but it has a positive impact on the whole.Taken together,The development of local Internet is positively related to employment in the region and interregional employment. After subregional analysis,we are more accurate to see that the positive correlation is mainly reflected in the eastern and western regions. From the perspective of industry, the empirical results show that Internet popularity is negatively correlated with the employment of the first industry and the second industry, while the impact on the third industry is not significant. In the study of income gap,the research object is the inter regional income gap and the income gap between urban and rural areas, and the regression analysis is carried out by time series data and panel data respectively. The results show that the current Internet development in China will benefit the narrowing of the regional income gap to some extent, but it will further widen the income gap between urban and rural areas. |
