Research On The Influence Of Producer Service’s Productivity On Manufacturing Export Structure

In 2016,the export value of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 117,59.04 billion yuan,accounting for 11.3%of the industrial sales value of the year and an increase of 1.6%year-on-year.In the same period,the contribution rate of China’s tertiary industry to GDP was 58.2%.The contribution rates of the wholesale and retail industries of the producer services sector and the financial industry to GDP were 9.6%and 7.1%respectively.The producer service industry refers to those departments and industries that provide producers with services as intermediate inputs.In the industrialization stage,the main service target of producer services is manufacturing.From the "smile curve",it can be seen that the productive service is equivalent to an intermediate input element for the manufacturing industry.The change of its productivity has a non-negligible impact on the output and exports of the manufacturing industry.The increase in total factor productivity of the producer services industry means that the producer services as a factor cost reduction of inputs,which increases the comparative advantages of manufacturing products.Therefore,this article mainly studies the changes of total factor productivity of the producer services industry in China and its influence on the export structure of the manufacturing industry.Due to limited space,this paper analyzes the problems of electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing as a manufacturing representative.First,this paper uses the Malmquist-Luenberger index method to introduce"unexpected" output in the production process of the service industry to measure the total factor productivity of the regional producer services from 2004 to 2015,and analyzes the regional statistical characteristics of the measured results..Due to the limited data collection,this study selected three typical production service industries in the wholesale and retail industries,transportation,warehousing and postal services,and the financial industry.Secondly,this paper uses the panel data of 27 provinces to construct an econometric model of the influence of export structure.Together with the factors of total factor productivity and capital labor in the productive service industry,we will empirically study how the changes in total factor productivity of a producer service industry in a province influence the provincial Electric Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing Export.The results show that productive services can be used as an input to the export sector as well as labor capital,and their development will promote the export of electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing.Finally,according to the results in part 4 and 5,the paper proposes some policy recommendations:(1)Formulating policies to encourage transportation,warehousing and post and telecommunications industries to increase R&D investment and improve efficiency.(2)To promote the coordinated development of the central and western regions and the eastern region in the financial industry.(3)Accelerate the process of transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industries,and increase the degree of integration of manufacturing and production service sectors.
