Under the new normal economic conditions of the "13th Five-Year Plan",the pressure on prevention of financial risks both at home and abroad remains relatively great. As the main undertaker of financial risk, commercial banks should not only provide enough financing support for the development of SMEs,but also enhance the ability of SMEs to manage their credit risk.Based on this, this paper studies the credit risk management of SMEs in commercial banks under the new normal economic background. The article mainly contains six major parts:The first part mainly elaborates the background and significance of this study, combs the current research situation both at home and abroad, and clarifies the research ideas and methods; The second part mainly describes the theoretical basis of SMEs,credit risk, credit risk assessment and credit risk management; The third part mainly describes and summarizes the current situation of SME financing, the status quo of credit risk and the status quo of credit risk management of commercial banks; The fourth part mainly carries on the empirical analysis of the credit risk of SMEs,starting from four aspects:evaluation method selection, evaluation index system construction, factor analysis and Logistic regression;Based on the conclusion of the empirical analysis, the fifth part gives the corresponding measures of credit risk management from the three aspects of commercial banks, small and medium-sized enterprises and the external environment. The sixth part is the summary of the conclusion and the research prospect.Through theoretical analysis, current situation and empirical research,it is found that the improvement of SME credit risk management in commercial banks in China requires the joint efforts of commercial banks,SMEs and the external environment.Commercial banks need to set up special credit risk management departments to optimize credit risk assessment techniques and accelerate the digital supervision of SMEs credit risk.SMEs should strengthen their own profitability and turnover level, speed up the digitization of financial information business. The government needs to take advantage of its own policies to support and safeguard the development of SMEs and credit financing.
