Since 2005,China's foreign direct investment has continued to grow for 10 consecutive years,reaching US$145.67 billion in 2015,and its investment flow has leapt to the second place in the world,achieving net capital output for the first time.Judging from the domestic economic situation,industrial restructuring and industrial upgrading are underway,but many problems have also been encountered.Therefore,to understand the relationship between foreign direct investment and industrial optimization and upgrading,to determine whether the two can really promote each other,it is of great significance to China's foreign direct investment and industrial structure optimization and upgrading.This article first introduces the background of the topic and the significance of the research.Secondly,it introduces the content and framework of the research,the research methods used and the innovations and deficiencies of the article.Afterwards,the classic theory of foreign direct investment and industrial transformation and upgrading as well as relevant research at home and abroad were combed.Then it summarizes the development of China's foreign direct investment in the past 40 years,analyzes the characteristics of China's foreign direct investment,its industrial distribution characteristics and changes,and regional distribution characteristics,and analyzes the characteristics of China's foreign direct investment at this stage and the development process of China's industrial structure.status quo.Afterwards,from the macro and micro perspectives,the theoretical analysis of the mechanism of the impact of FDI on industrial optimization and upgrading is carried out and empirical verification is carried out.Then from the perspective of micro-enterprises to find out the causes of foreign direct investment.Then the actual case starts to analyze and tries to find out the driving effect of transnational corporations' external direct investment on internal industry upgrades and even industry-wide development.Finally,the conclusions and achievements of the previous sections are summarized.Based on the results of the previous research,some suggestions for countermeasures are given for foreign direct investment by enterprises and foreign direct investment and industrial upgrading at the macro level.This paper digs deeply into the mechanism of several major aspects of FDI-induced industrial upgrading,and then explores the causes of foreign direct investment of enterprises,and proves the role of foreign direct investment of enterprises in their internal and even industrial chain in the process of industrial upgrading through cases.Finally,for the first time,the introduction of direct foreign investment in the discussion of the impact of the field of artificial intelligence more discussed.This is an innovation that this article seeks to achieve.
