With the continuous development of economic globalization,virtualization and informatization,business environment is increasingly complex,and its risks are immediately increased.Due to the uncertainty of risk,the risk may bring a fatal threat to the enterprise,so it is very important to prevent and control the risk.Risk management is increasingly becoming the highlight of enterprise management,so how to improve the effectiveness of enterprise risk management has been a important issue in both theory and practice.Everyone in the enterprise is responsible for risk management.As an important internal supervision mechanism of corporate governance,internal audit is entrusted with the responsibility of participating in risk management.This paper analyzes the mechanism of the role of internal audit in risk management,and selects 2009?2014 A-share listed companies in Shenzhen Stock Exchange as a sample,constructing the internal audit quality and corporate risk management index,in order to test whether the internal audit has played a role in enterprise risk management.At the same time,on the basis of the relationship between the two,further explore the internal control in which the intermediary role.In addition,the paper further discusses the relationship between internal audit and enterprise risk in different life cycle stages.The results show that the quality of internal audit is significantly positively correlated with enterprise risk management index;Internal control has partial mediating effect in the relationship between internal audit and enterprise risk management index;Internal audit is significantly negatively correlated with the financial risk and operational risk during the growth stage;There is no significant relationship between internal audit and the financial risk or operational risk during the maturity stage and the recession stage.The empirical results of this paper confirm the important role of internal audit in enterprise risk management.Therefore,internal audit should be established as the enterprise's awareness of the immune system,strengthen the internal audit department construction,ensure its independence and authority,with adequate professional staff,so that the internal audit function is really Play the role of the third line of risk management,to provide a guarantee for the sustainable development of enterprises.
