Today,the automotive industry has become a pillar industry in many countries,including China's national economy.With the rapid development of China's economy and the growth of urban and rural incomes,can be expected that the next few years,China's auto industry will continue to develop at a faster pace.Auto parts industry is the basis of the automotive industry,its output value of about 50-70%of vehicle production.With the development of supply chain management theory,and the particularity of the automotive industry,supplier management of the auto parts industry has become more and more important.Supplier capacity enhancement for the OEMs to improve quality,reduce costs,improve response speed play a key role.As the auto parts related to a wide range of products,production processes vary widely,the level of suppliers have their advantages,so effective supplier management is a very complex process,coupled with China's auto parts industry started late,lack of investment lead to R&D capability is not strong,low level of management and other factors,limiting the part of the rapid development of parts enterprises.Therefore,how to make suppliers and enterprises from the ordinary relationship between the evolutions of the relationship into a cooperative relationship,and thus achieve the"win-win" objective,is the need to address a topic.In this paper,as GATY for example,many scholars researched on the supplier management and automotive supplier management both inside and outside the country.On the basis of basic situation of GATY is introduced,and from the research of supplier relationship management,supplier quality Management and supplier performance management,the paper analyzes the status quo of the current supplier management of GATY.Based on the analysis,the author analyzes the current problems of supplier management,including the evaluation process is not standardized,poor product quality control,and supplier evaluation indicators unreasonable.On the base of relevant theoretical knowledge and the status quo of GATY,this paper puts forward the improvement plan of supplier management from the aspects of supplier relationship optimization,quality management system optimization and performance appraisal optimization.The concrete measures include supplier evaluation system reconstruction,supply quality improvement group was established,the application of hierarchical process audit,supplier evaluation indicators update and so on.At last,the relevant safeguard measures,including the financing support,information sharing platform and establishing efficient communication mechanism,are listed in the paper to implement the supplier management improvement scheme.The research of this paper will further improve the supplier management mode of GATY,establish a more competitive supplier team and establish long-term strategic partnership with suppliers,which will play a good supporting role for GATY's supplier management.For the GATY laid a solid foundation for sustainable development,so that GATY and suppliers team common development in the market competition to maintain a sustained lead.
