Resources Protection And Industrial Development Of Taishan Jade

Taishan jade falls into the category of serpentine jade,which is formed in Wutai period of Neoarchean Era,about 2.6 billion years ago.The place of origin is mainly the foothill of Taishan Mountain of Taian,distributed along Shila village and Jieshou village on the border between Daiyue District of Taian and Changqing District of Jinan.Taishan jade has 4 categories,including green jade,black jade,piebald jade and purple jade according to color,impurity and microscopic structure.Among them,Taishan black jade accounts for 78.9%,piebald jade 17.6%,green jade 3.5%while purple jade is far less.Taishan jade,as an important mineral resource and precious treasure of Taian,possesses both jade and cultural significance for Taian and serves as an important carrier of Taishan culture.So it is the key to the promotion and inheritance of local culture.In 2009,before Taian government took full control and prohibited exploitation,only a small part of Taishan jade was exploited randomly but most of it is still well-reserved.The market exploitation has not been implemented.How to make scientific planning,accurate locating,orderly exploiting and continuous using under the condition of protection of Taishan jade,for the building of Taishan jade,an emerging industry,is an issue of great concern for the government and society in order to form new cultural and tourist resource and source of income.An initial classification of Taishan jade is conducted in this paper after the analysis of its features and its unique cultural and cultural values are also raised.A comprehensive analysis is also drawn from the perspectives of industrial backing,brand and culture effect,market prospect and demand of Taishan jade by consulting and referring to industrial development theory,resource protection theory,cultural industry development theory and market economy theory.The policies concerning the protection of Taishan jade and industrial development is also raised.This main content of the paper has the following parts:In the first part,the objectives,significance and methods for the protection and development of Taishan jade are put forward and domestic and foreign research concerning its protection and development is also elaborated in a comprehensive way.In the second part,the main theories concerning the protection and development of Taishan jade are discussed and elaborated,including industrial development theory,resource economy and environment theory,cultural industry development theory and market economy theory.In the third part,the protection and development situation of Taishan jade is studied and its significance and opportunities are elaborated.The scarcity and uniqueness of Taishan jade is the guarantee for the industrial development;Taishan jade is the perfect demonstration of arts and crafts and cultural value;the deep integration of Taishan jade industry and cultural tourism industry will not only enrich the content of tourism and build tourism products but also improve cultural tourism brand.So Taishan jade has high collection and investment value.In the fourth part,the problems during the protection and development of Taishan jade are analyzed and the problems concerning resource protection such as illegal exploitation,low efficiency of exploitation,counterfeiting,over exploitation and unsound laws are pointed out;such problems as the lack of competition during exploitation,lack of promotion,lower recognition of market and the lack of technical talents are elucidated,which serves as the solid foundation for the protection and development of Taishan jade in the future.In the fifth part,specific policies and measures to speed up the development of Taishan jade are raised.These include:guaranteeing excellent top-level design by strengthening the lead of government;improving the popularity of Taishan jade by enhancing industrial guidance;mak:ing marketable operation and setting up a national industrial base;and building a brand and strengthen the promotion and marketing of Taishan jade,so as to protect resources and conduct industrial development in a practical way.
