| Now Chinese economy entering a phase commonly refers to ’new normal’,that is a point of time when the country is experiencing overlaps of three economical shifting:slow-down of decades-long economical booming,pain absorbing of structural adjustment and digesting of advancing governmental incentive.During this period,the expected economical down-turn is pressing many industries,firms and regional economy,leading to continuous exposure of non-performing loan of many commercial banks.In the meantime,weakened increment of banking deposit causing more risks of liquidity,the operation of commercial bank facing great challenge.In order to seek more long-term profitable increasing possibility,commercial bank are forced to promote transition of current business model,to adjust current varying customization-oriented,more collaborated and international market by expanding investment banking.This thesis based on real practice of CITIC Changsha branch,deeply into transition of domestic public commercial bank to think and develop its business in an investment bank’s point of view.At first,it analyzes CITIC Changsha branch’s current development of investment banking,especially on problems due to lack of business innovation,investment thinking,performance evaluation mechanism,risk control and human resources.By using SWOT analysis,this thesis is able to give risk control strategy to CITIC Changsha branch investment banking business and in the end,point out potential problems during the strategy deployment and how to avoid them by transition of management mindset,realization of related process and establishment of an appropriate IT system.This study is based on real practice of CITIC Changsha branch and its development of investment banking,with the hope to offer a reference to its further development in general,also to the other domestic banking corporation. |
