Economic Influence Of Ports On Border Cities Under Geo Factors

Under the background of the "One Belt,One Road" strategy and the rejuvenation of the Northeast of China,as an important gateway for China’s opening up to the outside world,border city ports have become an important growth point for boosting economic development in the border areas of China and neighboring countries.Because of the economic particularity of the border ports,the construction and development of the border ports are more sensitive to bilateral geopolitical factors.In order to thoroughly analyze the economic impacts of the ports on border cities and find key coastal port among different types along the border,this paper innovative change comprehensive evaluation model of Klein’s national strength into city-wide evaluation model to quantify the geographical factors by variable substitution.As an important external environment variable,this paper empirically analyzes the bilateral relations between China-Mongolia,China-Russia and China-the North Korea from 2000 to 2015 as a geopolitical factor by using national relationship event methodology and the major events involved in the website of People’s Daily and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.Regardless of the highway or the railway port,Manzhouli ports has the best development advantages in the Northeast of China,which located at the top of 7 railway and highway ports cities.The trade and cultural exchanges brought by the all-round strategic cooperation between China and Russia as well as economic impact of cities is superior to that of China-North Korea and China-Mongolia.As for the other port,the international relations involved in the Dandong port are more complicated,so its development is more sensitive to the relations between China and all Asian countries.When other conditions are fixed,the economic impact index of Manchuria,Tumen and Ji’an railway ports on the border cities is relatively high.The economic impact index of Erenhot,Suifenhe,Hunchun and Dandong highway ports on the border cities is relatively high.The import and export of ports has a significant impact on the GDP of the northeast border cities.The export volume increased by 1%,GDP increased by 0.2248%,the import volume increased by 1%,and the GDP increased by 0.1456%.
